Post subject:  Decemberween and Caper Similarities
Hi, Im new to this forum, but annnyyywaaayyy.... i noticed something weiwd-- weird-- that in the new Decemberween toon, and in th SB Email Caper, there awe-- ARE alot of similarities. For example....

We see Homestar with stubble on his face in both cartoons....
we see homestar's house again
He's wearing the same bunny slippers in both toons

But those awe--- ARE (sorry, I've gotten so used to speaking like homestar!) just a few similarities. we also see the inside of his house in the sb email Radio. Thats all i gotas to a say. Kinda dumb, but dont send any hate letters. I really suck at sending sorry letters.

Even if they are similar, what are you getting at? You picked two random Homestar Runner toons to compare. There's nothing to discuss here. They seem similar because they both involve seeing Homestar in his house in the morning (or waking up). That's about it. Other than that, the toons are completely different. Many cartoons are similar because they have the same characters. Apparently Homestar's morning habits are to put cinnamon on his face, wear bunny slippers, and be in his house. Just because we've only seen him like this twice, doesn't mean that we should go creating topics about. There is no point to this topic! I'm going to stop now.

Yeah, running gags don't make things a rip-off of each other. H*R.com contains many running gags. Heck, they're not even all running gags, the inside of Homestar's house is just a setting, like SB's computer room.

Exactly. I am just a bit confused regarding the point of this topic. I'm sorry if you took my post the wrong way, but it is never my intention to upset someone.

TBC like to re-use certain material when makng a toon. The Floppy Dick, The Cheat's head exploding, ect... There are many run on gags on the site. Maybe Homestar likes cinamon before he goes to bed.

The toons themselves aren't really similar at all.
