Ah, the sweet feeling of a new toon, it's been so long and it's so great to see they haven't given up.

There was tons to like about this episode, but it all seemed better getting new stuff from every character who have gone so long without any new appearances.

Hot pooey! Homestar Runner dot com is back on the road! This was a very amusing little cartoon they done came out with. My fave parts include Marzipan's overly enthusiastic newsletter, the line at Bubs' full of rejected characters, and Strong Bad setting the record straight at the end. ("You decided to take at face value something the guy who lives in a bush and talks to melty candy bars said.")

I hope they keep this up! That'd be a REAL Decemberween Mackrel.

A new update with an actual, full-length toon? That truly is a Decemberween Mackerel!

The fact that it's the first toon in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time might be why I love it so much.

Poor Homsar, though.

That was a very awesome Decemberrween toon! It was so funny, and seeing Homeschool Winner and Champeen was very surprising! Now we can all hope that Homestar will be back on track!

There is a rumour that the Chapmenz are working with the same company that produced their music CD, but I don't know how true that is.

Oh.......my God. I was informed about the new cartoon on a Twitter post, and after running around the room screaming for joy for a few hours, I sat down and watched the cartoon. Must say, I loved it, I give it five stars, and it fullfilled my holiday wish. :D

:hr: was more hilarious than ever. There were a lot of suggestive jokes, though. :-|

Let's hope this is the end of the hiatus and 2011 will be a good year for H*R!!!

Please, someone verify that there are no pink or cloud borders around my computer! It's really a new toon.
Marzipan's voice has definitely changed, not sure how to feel about that, I guess we'll see what happens to it in the future...

Yeah, it didn't fit on my screen either. Wierd.
Excellent way to come back. Hooray!

I wonder what'll become of Homsar. :(

I loved Marzipan calling "people with less than two DVRs" unfortunate. We have one DVR and are doing perfectly well, thankyouverymuch.

Marzipan sounded different. Not enough to suspect they replaced Missy Palmer, but enough to make me wonder what's up.

I figured she meant that having two DVRs makes them ridiculously well-off.

...Which I would kind of agree with. Who the heck even needs more than one? Don't they make ones that can record multiple shows at once anyway?

Well, it's nice to see a new toon after 8 months, but I doubt this means anything. If they do start regularly updating next year, I'll be glad to be proven wrong, but I don't recommend anyone get their hopes up. TBC wouldn't just magically stop being busy. This is probably something they just made in their free time, and put up on the site to get boost at the store. They have just released a new calendar and all.

Eh, cartoons are for children, anyway. B)

This toon existing is a Decemberween Mackerel! I'm sooooo happy to see an update!

Anything with Senor Cardgage is bound to be a hoot, especially since he used his homeless and creepy ways to bamboozle Marzipan. Lol.

WE GOT A PULSE!

WE GOT A PULSE ON THE SITE!

I think it deserves one of these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6_nJ11BgTE

But back on topic. Very good toon (though not my absolute favorite cartton) but I was really shocked with that scene with Homsar.

But like Nerd42 said, it was kinda appropriate due to the long hiatus.

A Decemberween miracle!

Lots of crazy things unlike anything else I've seen on the site -
-anyone shocked by how different Marzipan's voice was? Maybe Missy Palmer giving birth had something to do with it, I dunno?
-Homestar's sweater was like, the most risque thing I can recall on the site ;)
-The first time they've really used language some see as offensive... in the "My God what have we done..."
-I kind of wish they still kept up the gag of Strong Bad thinking Senor is the coolest guy ever. He seemed to act like Senor was just a loser, the way everyone else acts...

All in all, a solid toon. Not my favorite, but they definitely haven't lost it, and Homestar is probably the only content on the net that still consistently makes me laugh, audibly.

Not to mention, I'm glad we saw the Unguraits again, even if it was just a silhouette. Also, I thought Homeschool Winner was dead.

Yesssss! Since Halloween which I expected to be the end of the hiatus, I was re-watching like every single toon on the site. And now finally!

I liked that one. Not the best holiday toon, though. I totally cracked up when Marzipan wrote her greeting card in no time and disorderly all over the card and the table.
Also, "Oh my God, what have we done?" made me LOL.

I agree. SB already thinks nearly everybody is a loser, so it was amusing to see he idealized someone that uncool. :senor:
"Man, so cool!"

I think the enhanced sound quality may be the reason why we might think Missy voiced Marzipan different from the other toons. Similarly, I had always thought Homestar would lisp until I watched some toons on Youtube in better sound quality. ;)

I'm so glad they're back! The best bit was Marzipan's letter.
When I saw the RSS feed highlighted, I thought something hd gone wrong (since other things were telling me they'd updated when they hadn't), so I was amazed to see an actual new toon! XD

Okay, I'm eating my words... and I couldn't be happier to do it.

I'm wondering if this is the "New Homestar"... post updates once every several months while simontaneously plugging the merchandise. I dearly hope I'm mistaken.

Anyhows, I have to go take a final in five minutes, but I just wanted to take a moment and make sure I wasn't hallucinating on Diet Ski this morning and appreaiate what truly is a Decemberween Miracle.

Words can't explain how happy I am to see H*R back in action. It's almost like... a Mackerel.

It's been almost a year of waiting, but now there's finally a new toon...and for me, it somehow makes up for the whole "ignoring us for a year" thing. :)

Although I hope that this doesn't mean the end of Homsar. He's one of the best characters on the site IMO.

Wednesday morning I checked the wiki as I do at least once every day. When I saw this I smiled. 4/5, because it really did warm my heart!

I headed downstairs, turned on my machine, updated Firefox and my extensions (I rarely use Firefox; I use Chrome), and Phlip's GreaseMonkey script; the process took forever. Then I watched and smiled some more. That day I wore my Strong Bad T-Shirt, which I haven't worn in more than a year because I outgrew it ages ago. I hope I get a new one for Christmas! I told all of my close friends about the update. Later in the day, I logged into the wiki for the first time in months and made a few edits on the toon's article. And this morning I logged into the forum. It's going to take some time for me to familiarize myself with the wiki again.

It'll be nice revisit Homestar Runner. This is so great!

Seriously, I would like to thank TBC for (don't call it a comeback) making a new toon. Odd that they would come back for Christmas instead of Halloween.

Yes! :D

In regards to your second statement, I was thinking the same thing. When Halloween was coming around the corner, I thought that no Halloween toon this year would mark the end of Homestar Runner. It might just be because they have time to do it now if they're taking a few weeks off for the holidays, as -xCaMRocKx- said.

iOH [expletive deleted] YEAH! :eekdance: Maybe it's due to the fact that this the most stoned I've ever been for a first viewing of a cartoon before, but I think this is the greatest thing to happen to modern civilization.

I'm way, all-the-way, on-board and ready for a new, perhaps darker, direction in the h*r universe. I know well that writing for one character, in a certain style, or about particular topics, can become actually painful after awhile. It gets old, believe it or not. In any case, I feel confident saying releasing controversial or unconventional content will generate more activity than releasing no or little content.

No complaints here, though. Very satisfied with our Decemberween Mackerel.
