Well, unfortunately, things do offend others for very good reasons. But is this toon offending, not to me at least. But different people think different things.

I laugh at the Photoshop and groan at the pun. Kudos.

No one I know liked this cartoon. And the stupid theme song is always stuck in my head.

...Lil' Brudder should NOT be allowed on TV.

My friend Trish and I watched this one together when it came out.

We didn't quite know what to say when it was finished. On one hand, we noted that the lyrics were extremely clever and some of the imagery was funny, but on the other hand, we still felt very guilty about semi-laughing over the misfortune of a one-legged dog.

I'll have to agree with most people, though, that Homestar's reaction was the funniest part of all.

Yes, L'il Brudder in animated form was a little grosser than I expected, the voice was horrendous, but still you can't really help but admire his genuine optimism. Which is a good thing.

Yeah, I saw that at A Current Affair. That was as pitiful as it was astounding.

Yeah, I've seen that too. Heart of a champion.

WHAT? I thought it was hilarious! I can't believe you wouldn't laugh at it. "King o' the dregs, minus 3 legs!" Well that one girl I told you about thinks it's horrible. Oh well. The only thing I didn't like was his voice.

Well, sometimes certain people will find certain things funny, and others won't. It's the way it works sometimes.

I thought it was pretty funny, the song included, although it was a kind of mean humor that I didn't expect coming from H*R.com. The easter egg was hilarious. Those animals are so pathetic, it kinda makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time.

I didn't think it was that good... at all, the song was kinda catchy, but i don't think L'il brudder is an idea you can expand on.

This toon was a little much. While the Lil Brudder email made me laugh uncontrolably, the Show was just not that funny. :sb:

Am I insane, or does the intro bear a vague resemblance to the intro to "Garfield and Friends" -- the crazy, hyperbolic images like "ONE LEG" in huge letters, and Li'l Brudder surfing? The scene where the words "Li'l Brudder" scroll across the screen reminds me of the intro to Muppet Babies. Oh, and the scene where Li'l Brudder is denied entry to the Italian restaurant reminds me of Snoopy Come Home:

Quote:
This story begins with Snoopy running away from his owner Charlie Brown, leaving Charlie feeling even more worthless than usual. Snoopy is on a quest to visit his former owner, a little girl who is hospitalized by pneumonia or cartoon leukemia or something. It's an unending struggle for Snoopy to see his sick little friend because everywhere he goes there are signs proclaiming, "No Dogs Allowed" (which is also sung aloud in order to further drive the point home).

Li'l Brudder himself kind of looks like Snoopy...you know, if Snoopy were alcoholic (red nose), severely disabled, and had poor hygeine.

I thought this was great. Poor Li'l Brudder. I'd love to see it become an actual toon on HR.
