I think I'm going to change my rating to 8/10 instead of 7.5. I watched it again and it was even better. Those dancing brothers still rule. I'm glad they're doing more toons, as it should be one of the biggest parts of their site, but it's actually quite small.

EDIT: TOTPD! :eekdance:

I agree. Once cool tapes was released, I thought, "Oh, just one more toon until the toons page scrolls!" And then next week my thoughts came to life. Bless the scroll buttons!

What about Luigi's mansion? Now that was pretty fun. Plus there's lots of Marioesqe games without Mario in them, the ones that focus on Yoshi namely. I dunno, I just don't think that sounds like a fair comparison at all.

Not a good comparison. Mario is Missing is an example of a Mario game without Nintendo. Some wannabe video game company decided to make a crappy game and then somehow got Nintendo to let them use Mario and Luigi in it just so it would sell.

And it worked too... I mean, I got fooled into buying it. (That was quite a while back, though.)

Anyway, Luigi is awesome and deserves his own games. Give him a chance!

Ahem... TOASTPAINT!

One scene I thought was funny but hasn't really been mentioned was how Saddy Dumpington flew about three miles from the town only to lightly hit the ground, smiling all the way.

another part that was funny was

coach z:"cram a little oom-pah down your pants"
strong sad:"I'm willing to ignore that "oom-pah down my pants" comment"

that gave this toon a good kick off.

For some reason, after watching the toon again, when Strong Sad says, "Pain and misery" it creeped me out. Strong Sad's voice all of a sudden went lower and sounded...just...weird. Did that creep out anyone else?

It was probably just me.

I think it was not good. I like how niether Homestar and Strong Bad weren't in this at all, but it didn't work. Not many good jokes. No good one-liners. Bad.
2/10

Uh, no good one-liners?

"Ropes are for dopes" is the funniest one-liner. Ever. It's official. I just read all about it in this week's issue of "Stupid Coincidence Magazine".

Shame on you SEAN'D!

Let's see. No Strong Bad. Check.
No traces of Strong Bad or any of his creations. Check.
No signs of anything made in a Strong Bad email. Check.

WHOO!!! NO STRONG BAD! ALL RIGHT!!

:eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance:

As for the episode, I enjoyed it. I liked how Saddy Dumpington depressed people and ended his sayings with "Isn't that great!" Plus, I liked the Dancing Brothers and the ending with Coach Z dancin' tonight. Overall, pretty good, although I think that there will be more folk tale toons later on. Just like Cheat Commandos. Speaking of which... (gets tackled by a giant taco with a football helmet)

I don't think it was just you. (See my earlier post. I said the same thing.) I was creeped out by that too. Strong Sad has never said anything like this before.

The part that made me laugh first was the squirrel. I dunno seeing a squirrel cry was just goofy.

Or when the Dancing brothers were supposedly allergic to foxes, and coach z goes "oorf thats haresh!" golden.

that's something - if Saddy Dumpington is Strong Sad's olde times version of himself, he sure imagined himself as a real sadist

Well, that's not entirely true. Homsar was made in a Strong bad email. ;)

As for the toon, it was a pleasant surprise. Now all I need is a new Cheat Commandos to be able to sleep happily for another year.

Yes! Earlier I had left HomeStarrunner.com becouse of the constant flow of bad (not to say bad, just getting old) SBMAILS. I have been checking the wiki however to see if the SBMAILS where ending or if any toons where being put out. This is just what I have been waiting for. It's sad too, SB is such a great character. These accursed e-mails have reduced him to just a annoying character who always has to be the main guy in every toon. Anyway, I really loved both the concept and the new watercolor art. It shows that TBC have not lost their touch, but SBMAILS have most defenily jumped the shark. I hope they end soon, i'll watch the finaly with neverending plesure.

That was just a side effect of Strong Sad hanging out with Homsar too much.

I just watched this now. It was great. I loved the "They both died! Isn't that great?" comment.

I love the Dancing Brothers. Gonna have a good time, tonight! Goona have a good time, tonight!

Ropes are for dopes.

9/10

I disagree, in my opinion, and in most others' opinions, sbemails are still going strong.

But toastpaint

This toon proves that TBC still have some clever jokes up their sleeves. They also obeyed the special rule that something three times is funny, and then it sucks. If they did the dancing brothers one more time, it wouldn't have been funny anymore. They did the same with the 5th grade joke in Cool Things, though I didn't find the 5th grade joke funny at all.

I checked the wiki and saw the other easter egg. That was hilarious!!! It raises the rating to 10/10.

This wasn't my favorite toon, but I still thought it was awesome. The folk tale setting was interesting, and it's a good look at what goes on in Strong Sad's imagination. My favorite parts were...

The Homsar easter egg. :homsar:
And of course, the Dancing Brothers!

I give this toon a 8/10. It's awesome to see the Chaps put out 2 toons in 2 weeks.

Mmmmm, pretty good.
Not excellent though.
I liked how the Dancing Brothers sneezed themselves into comas (they should have shown them hospitalised though!).
I wish I could understand Homsar.

About a 7/10

Heh. I love the back home style of Dumpington. LOL

And how he was so optimistic, too. He was alwys positive, but he had a hard time 'spreading joy'. XD

They actually just passed out forever, but we can assume they died after some time.

So here's what I'm wondering.

Why did Bubs say "No, you gotta lay low for a while!" to Homestar?

I think that was just part of a joke, to make us think it was Coach Z on the phone, only to have him turn up hiding in Bubs' Concession Stand the whole time.

Yeah, what she said. We can only imagine what Homestar would need to lay low for though.
