ok, so it's coming soon to a computer screen near you. it's the toon i personally wait for all year long. no matter what the story is about, here are the costumes i'd like to see:

H*R :hr:Chas Tenenbaum (Ben Stiller) from The Royal Tenenbaums

Strong Bad :sb:Zorro? Freddy Kruger? Wolverine?

The Cheat :cheatgrin:Snap, Crackle or Pop; one of the Keebler Elves or, best of all, Toucan Sam

Strong Mad :sm:Wayne Gretzky

Bubs :bubs:Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) from Beverly Hills Cop

Marzipan :marzi:possibly Tori Amos but preferably Bjork

Strong Sad :sad:Robert Smith of the Cure or Bill Gates

KOT :kot: - Boss Hogg

Coach Z :coachz:Run, D.M.C. or even Jam Master Jay

Pom Pom :pom:Hugh Hefner

Poopsmith :poop:Darth Maul

Homsar :homsar:Jerry Garcia

questions? comments?

It'd be good, but Strong Bad has already worn that kinda hat as Ozone.

oh yeah, maybe Wolverine then.
I've already realised that, when spaceghost posted these, that means that they will never be these characters.
I wonder if they've decided already.

I know this has been ABP'd, but where?

Anyways, I'm not sure which costumes I'dlike to see the characters in, mainly because I can't even tell who the people they've dressed up as before are.

This year, I'd really like to see one of the characters dress up as a Simpsons character. Perhaps Strong Bad as Homer? :sb:

I was thinking that too, except Pom Pom as Comic Book Guy.

Actually, one of the little doodles in the Museum sketchbook includes Strong Sad dressed up as Jeff...I mean, uh, that Comic Book Dude. Guy. Dan. Elizagerth. Penguin.
But, since there's a doodle of it in the Museum, it means it's never gonna happen. Ah well.

I usually have trouble telling who the characters have dressed up as myself; usually I can get the easy ones, like Andy Warhol or Lisa Lopes or Carmen Sandiego - but other stuff (mostly Coach Z's and Strong Mad's costumes) I just don't get cause I'm not hip enough. :( Although...Homestar as Carl Spackler I didn't get because it was such a generic costume. Like, oh look, a dude in some old camos. Meh. Easy mistooken (yes, mistooken. Like meshuggah) for anything and everything else.

And Strong Mad would make a good Indiana Jones somehow. Odd.

Also, I think Strong Bad should dress up as another Carmen again. And Strong Sad as another David. Three times Halloween costume!

I still say Coach Z and The Poopsmith should dress up as Wallace and Gromit. That would be so awesome.

And Homestar should go as Gilligan, although that's probably not going to happen since Pom Pom is dressed like The Skipper on a secret page.

Coach Z could go as Obi-Wan Kenobi. That would be friggin' hilarious. "Hey Luke, use the fourOURCE!"

And Homestar as Bart Simpson would be funny. "Eat my pants, guys!"

Or Coach Z and Homsar as Bob and Doug McKenzie. The possiblities are endless!

Marzipan should be Leela. That would pwn, big time.

Coach Z should be Eminem. That would just be hilarious.

there's alomst no doubt that Coach Z will be another rapper. I dont know any so Icant really say who.

I think the Poopsmith would make a good Alice Cooper. He's got the right features for it

Pom-Pom should be the Moon.

I can't think of any other good ones right now.

Ha! "Use the FAAAAAEEEEEEEEERRRRRRCE!!!" XD Hilarious! And Coach Z and Homsar what as thems Canadian dudes would be annoying and awesome! The best of both worlds!

...Coach Z as Eminem? Eh... y'know what would give me the jibbles though? Coach Z as Vanilla Ice. NO! Worse! That Rico Suave guy!

And I just don't like Marzipan enough for her to be Leela. :( Though I admit that Homestar would be the perfect Fry.

And the Poopsmith as Alice Cooper do make sense somehows.

Anyways, on to more suggestions... speaking of The Simpsons, how about Homsar as Ralph Wiggum in a flight of metareferencial whimsy? Also, for some reason I can totally see Homestar dressed up as Darth Vader for some reason. But then he just speaks in his regular voice, which really messes with your head. Or maybe as-- Ooh! Nebulon as Jar Jar Binks! Nobody likes his style! ...waitasecond, I don't even watch that much Star Wars. What gives? Or maybe The Cheat as a stripe-ed green rabbit with two butts.

Or Carmen Cortez from Spy Kids. But, he's stopped with the whole "Carmen" thing anyway, so we don't have to think up anything for it.

Their costumes almost have to be old school. If you notice, almost all of the past costumes come from the early 90s, the 80s or even before...stuff that was popular during TBC's childhood.

Examples: Carmen Miranda, Slim Boodbody, Garfield (even though he’s still around), Tron, Rerun, Flava Flav, Stay-Puft Marshmallow, (I Dream of) Jeanie, Mikhail Gorbachev, Kurt Cobain, The Noid, Velma, The Skipper, Andy Warhol, Joey Ramone, Wimpy, Greatest American Hero, Punchy, Mars Blackman, Humpty Hump, Hagar (same as Garfield), Lazer Tag (created in the 80s), Angus Young, Russell, Lisa Lopes (she dressed like that in the 90s), Sleestak (God, those things scared me as a kid), Mario, Kid, Capt. Lou Albano, Vyvyan, Kool-Aid Man, Speed Racer, Slash, David Byrne, Kool Moe Dee, Ozone, John McEnroe, Hamburglar, M. Bison, Log Lady, Kamala, Mel, Magnum P.I., Willie Nelson, Sigmund, The Joker, Carl Spackler, even Tupac, Big Boy, One of the 3..., Mayor of Halloweentown, Davie Bowie, Lion-O...

You get my point. I like some of the ideas so far, but not others. Here are my opinions so please don't take anything personal.

:sm: as The Hulk would be great, but kinda too obvious.

:homsar: as Homestar would be really funny.

:coachz: would have to be old skool rap. Vanilla Ice would be good, not Eminem and really not Rico Suave.

:poop: as Alice Cooper = good times.

I honestly don’t know what/who babybell is.

:kot: can not be santa.

I’m lost on the Leela comment, too.

:homsar: could be Obi-Wan but not Coach Z.

Indian Jones could be worked in really well...possibly with :hr: or :sb:

I’m not sure about the Simpsons, though.

The Mayor of Halloweentown, or rather, the entire movie he's in, is not oldschool. Corporate goths and posers buy tons of that merchandise at Hot Topic. : P
Homsar as Homestar would be pointless, if you ask me. And please don't take that Vanilla Ice/Rico Suave comment seriously; that's just scary beyond words. Jibblies. Homsar would make a good Obi-Wan...and The Cheat could be, like, Yoda... Changing the subject only sort of, maybe the Poopsmith or somebody'll dress up as that Scotty guy from Star Trek this year...
...and c'mon, :sm: would be hilarious as Indiana Jones! You know, with his little hat, and jacket, and bullwhip...but still worn over a singlet. No pants. :D
...and you're right, The Simpsons are definitely not oldschool. Not even Family Guy. Though The Cheat does seem the sort to dress up as Cartman or somebody.

Right, I mostly agree. Most of the stuff that I mentioned is old school-ish, from the 80s or before. I guess I also threw in a few others as references older than 10 years and from the early 90s...like Lisa "Left-Eye", Kurt Cobain, Humpty Hump and the Mayor of Halloweentown.

Hot Topic and old school can cooperate at times.
