Since we have a most overrated and underrated email thread, why not a toons one? Yeah? No? Yeah?' Here are my choices:

Overrated: Experimental Film. It's a good song, and good visuals, but it's not the best, unlike what the "Best Toon" poll showed.

Underrated: Mr. Shmallow. A lot of people dont like this one, but I fidn it pretty good.

So get crackin'! Nuts, corn, I don't care.

(By the way, if you didn't notice already, this applies to toons, shorts, and all things of that manner)

Overrated: Experimental Film, for the same reasons Ju Ju said. Yeah, very good song, very clever video, but a lot of people seem to think it's one of the best things on the site, and I can never regard it that highly.

Underrated: The Interview. I think this one's pretty overlooked compared to some of the other toons - there are few better showcases of Homestar's stupidity on the site, and The Cheat vs. Strong Sad fight proposal is classic.

Overrated: Cool Things. Most of you probably alreayd know I did not like this one at all.

Underrated: Peasant's Quest Preview. The game preview, not the movie trailer. It's chock full of old-schoolin' goodness. "What did I tell you to do?" "Get good graphics..."

Overrated: Trogdor--To be honest, I don't really care about this that much, even the brothers chaps didn't expect it to be so huge just from a drawing.

Underrated: Old timey cartoons...I enjoy them, but lots of people don't.

I'm asking you what you meant by "Trogdor". There are a couple of Trogdor toons.

No I mean, just in general, I think Trogdor is completely overrated. I don't think he's that big of deal, but he was made into one just from a simple drawing...the character Trogdor...this is just my opinion, so I'm not looking for conflict or anything.

I agree, he's not all that great.

Point me in the direction of the cult that actually really likes the Lil Brudder toon, since there's certainly no one from it around this board. ;) I was under the impression that it's about the most hated thing on H*R, at least when you're talking about modern day toons. If anything, I think it's actually underrated - it's not exactly that good, but hardly bad either IMO.

Props for mentioning The Interview, though.

Overrated: Sweet Cuppin' Cakes. The one spinoff on this site that I don't really like. It's just wierd and I hardly ever find it funny.

Underrated: Tapeleg. Sure it wasn't anything spectacular but I was ammused by it. I don't understand all the hate it gets.

Underratted: Sweet Cuppin' Cakes

As for over-rated? Let me think on that.

Trogdor is way overrated. I just don't get what's funny about the entire thing. The funniest thing about the entire email is Strong Mad carving "DAGRON" into the desk.

:sb: :You just...keep doing your thing, man.

I agree, Sweet Cuppin' Cakes is underrated. I mean, come on. Ready for Prime Time!

The thing that gets me, though is most people dislike sweet cuppin' cakes. Personally, I wanna see a whole series or somethin'

I'd watch it! It'd be better than normal Tom and Jerry anyways. It's got Sherlock, and Eh Steve! And the worm. I love the worm's voice.

Trust me, things like that get seriously old seriously fast.

As for my OR/UR...

Overrated: Experimental film. The song is catchy, the isuals are cool, the thing has lost its novelty.

Underrated: Lil Brudder show. It wasn't great or anything but it wasn't as bad as people say.

Right. I worship Crazy Cartoon as much as anyone, but even I acknowledge that Sweet Cuppin' Cakes would get extremely stale after a couple episodes, at least if it only featured those core limited characters. TBC would have to introduce several more random unexpected things into the series, but even that might seem like formula.

That would be really good! I just fear that it would go stale if made into a series.

Yeah, how much can you do with SCC until it gets old. Another one would be good, but too many wouldn't work.

overrated: in search of the yello dello, everone says "it's great" but, the fact that everybody looks weird in this just bugs me

underrated: lady...ing. everybody says this sucks out load... I don't know why but they do... I watch it everyday just to laugh

Overrated: Hard to say, probably all things 20X6. I like it a little, it's funny and stuff but...meh...

Underrated: Homestar Presents: Presents ^_^;; So funny. I also like "for kids", that was probably the one thing on the site that made me laugh the hardest upon first viewing. "crying" was excellent too, but they ruined l'il brudder with that stupid one-shot theme song short.

I don't hear many people saying yello dello was great, and a lot of people on here loved lady...ing

Oh, and just so you know, you should probably post the over and underrated emails in the "Overated and Underrated Email" section, I made this because there was one for emails and I thought there shoudl be ones for toons.

Marzipan's answering machine is the most underrated. It's the one that's most overlooked AND the one that makes me laugh the most. I mean, drunken Coach Z? You're not going to see that anywhere else. And Dead Guy Perez? And Safety Dan? I almost think it's better when you don't see the characters.

I agree. Answering Machine 12.2 is the thing on the site that made me laugh the hardest and the longest.

And there are plenty of other great moments, too. "Gets run o-ver by a lawn-mower blade!"
