Most Overrated and Underrated Toon

I have nothing to add at this point, but it would seem that everyone here likes Marzipans Answering Machine a whole lot to call it underrated, but if you all love it, it's not underrated.

I just rewatched Where My Hat is At, a toon I originally was disappointed in but finally got it. It is basically a self aware Homestar explaining the book in terms of the sites modern humor. Him commenting about it not being in the food grill or how he put his hat in the fridge are some great H*R moments.

Overrated: Folky Tale. I don't like Strong Sad being all witty, clever, and assertive! I liked him sad, quiet, and passive!

Underrated: Sick Day, Commandos in the Classroom, No Hands on Deck, Quality Time, and all that jazz. "Marzipan, how did you get so smart? Surely you know you are-a smart"

I don't get the feeling that most of you guys are adhering to the definitions of "overrated" and "underrated". It seems more like you're just naming a toon you like a lot and one you don't like so much.

I'm sorry to jump on this bandwagon, but really, is it THAT good of an e-mail?!
"Oh but Flare! It started a meme and an epic dargon!" Well yay, it's still overrated.

Underated, imma go jump on a bandwagon again; Marzipans Answering Machine, I'm sorry, but this feature is waaaaaaaay too overlooked. And it's awesome! Dude, the messages Coach Z and Strong Sad leave are epic! Need to watch every episode right now if you haven't.

I also think 'Cool Things' and 'Bug in mouth disease' are better than people say.

Underrated: Experimental Film. This was pretty catchy i enjoyed it. I didn't see it when it was released though. The commentary made me laugh.

Overrated: dragon. It's awesome, but not that awesome.

Underrated: All of the toons that were rated low by the majority of the forum members on their threads. Except for the bird and fingers. Those were genuinely bad.

Dragon - Definitely overrated. Maybe I feel this way because I missed the whole "Trogdor as a meme" thing, but even when I was a H*R newbie, I didn't find it as enjoyable as say, Kinda Cool or Different Town. I simply don't see what's so awesome about a dragon, and therefore I believe that the toon is overrated as being one of the best.

Underrated - well, that's a toughie. I"ve always enjoyed "Cool Tapes" and that never seems to come up in any "best of" lists, so that might well be underrated. "Hello, dripping yellow madness" had me in stitches.

And "Boring (really)" never seems to make the top ten, but that is a terrifically understated email, with quite a few good lines. The fact that it's called "Boring" might put many people off.

Maybe the most famous parts of dragon are overrated (him drawing the dragon + the song) but the other characters' attempts are good, especially Homsar's easter egg.

Underrated? Maybe Jumping Jacks or the unfinished prancey cartoon. Also, Thorax is Without A Doubt the funniest thing off the site. All my Delabors on this side of the forum topic say "heeey!" And all my Delabors on this side of the forum topic say.... "HOOO!"

Overrated: email thunder. Oh Homestar has his own show, ugh. I didn't laugh once during the entire time. Even TBC said they blew that one.
Underrated: All of the Marzipan's Answering Machines. It even says on the Wiki page that it's one of the most overlooked sections of the site.

The most overrated: cook things, experimental film and compy catalogue.

The most underrated: Crystal fortress, Loading Screens and No hands on Deck.

In my opinion... I feel like the first cartoons were necessary, but comparatively to the rest of the cartoons... I don't find them funny at all.. Though I did still watch them.

I agree that the answering machines are WAY underrated... but the first couple were rough to say the least.
I also think that the Puppet Jams are a little overlooked (with They Might Be Giants) and are short and hilarious.
Let's see.....
Uh for some of you... This was a underrated TOON, not email. Just thought I'd clarify..

Overlooked/Underrated (I think? And correct me if I'm wrong):

-I absolutely LOVE the Ballad of the Sneak... Very funny
-Peasant's Quest.. Both are good.. (Especially the outtakes on Youtube)
-I don't know what everyone is talking about with Li'l Brudder.. I thought that whole thing was hilarious... He's gotta.. POCKET FULL OF CASH! And Homestar crying is always good.
-Senor Mortgage was probably one of the funniest things I have seen in a while.. Don't know for sure how it was received, but it's a good one if you haven't checked it out.
-Crystal Fortress is probably my favorite song... And Experimental film may be a tad overrated.. but its random jumps between seemingly senseless pictures and scenes was entertaining... And the animation in it was just amazing.. Especially with the flower and swinging light. Not terribly funny, but definitely catchy.
-I find that 500 the Cheats thing a liiiiiittle on the "Uhh... what?" side and feel like that's definitely overrated... And worth skipping.
-Loading Screens! So cool.. because they're all so original! And it's nice to see them back to back (especially if you're a dedicated fan)

What else....
-DNA Evidence was... alright. Dan Towelman was pretty good. Was wondering who that guy was for a while...
-Trudgemank and New Boots are probably two of my favorite cartoons... Just great stuff...
-The Drive-Thru was a nice attempt, but fell flat in my opinion... Though their re-imagining of it with the Blubbo's Commercial made the whole thing worth it.

And for all you TROGDOR haters out there... I think Trogdor is still the best cartoon to date. The "draw along" section... the input from the other characters.. and it ended with METAL! What else could you possibly want?
PLUS those awesome drawings they made for the song... Great stuff. It's what happened AFTER Trogdor that made it overrated... people just don't know how to contain themselves.

Underrated: Happy Dethemberween. I love it but I never hear much of it. I also say Doomy Tales Of The Macabre. That is another Toon I love but never hear much of.

japanese cartoon (also duh)
Halloween Potion-ma-jig (I don't know about terms of views and such, but when it was released, it got WAYYY too much credit, and the Ween toon of 06 got rashed on bad)
Experimental Film (Supposedly back in the day this was overrated...)

Underrated: Where My Hat Is At? (duh)
Happy Hallow-day (Not the best, but got too much hate)
All PBTC except Everybody To The Limit and Rap Song (I'd assume, although those are my favorites)
