Hilarious!!

Loved the King of Town marching band. Is this the first time someone besides the Poopsmith has held his shovel?

The whole thing was great, by the way.

It was okay. Nothing amazing, but it was enjoyable. Coach Z and Marzipan's banter was the best part.

For whatever reason I can't get the swf file to load completely but what I've seen so far is pretty good. Good to see Pom-Pom, I thought it was funny how he carried a float of himself. (Ironically, though, he himself could easily qualify as a float).

The 'Coach Z, you Jerk' float was sad but it still made me laugh. As did Graw Mad carrying the concession stand.

I'm hoping it loads better for me tomorrow.

Wow. If ever you wanted an example of how H*R is starting to tip over the edge into mean, unsubtle, mainstream style humor this would be it. The Coach Z creepiness is really getting hammered into the ground and the "Coach Z you jerk" thing seemed very uncharacteristic of the usually cheerful, good-natured humor that made Homestar great in the first place. Then there's another tired Strong Bad beating up Strong Sad joke thrown in to boot. I think this toon is illustrative of the move the site is making away from character-interaction and quirky, unique humor and in the direction of mundane, aggressive jokes and tired running gags.

Oh man, this was a good cartoon. The multiple Homsars, Strong Mad stealing Bub's Consession Stand, the Marshie balloon...

5/5'D! ;)

After waiting all night for them to finish uploading the file, we have an awesome toon!!!

I have to say, I LOVED this toon.

As per my last post on the last SBEMAIL, I think this toon is MUCH more true to H*R style - I love it.

I think that Marzipan looks like she is sleeping at first when she is sopsed to look mad - just my opinion.

And never a hit with anyone - homesar - I love it!

Hi Bee! :-)

I think StrongBad is much truer to himself in this toon than in his last e-mail.

Poor The Cheat - he may never make it down!!!

Old Man Bubbs :-)

It fallowed me home! :-) That is like the most hilarious thing ever!

I think that my comments on the last SBEMAIL are very releated to this comment - and I have to disagree with this statment when it comes to this cartoon. I believe that this toon is MUCH truer to H*R's past than the last few toons have been. StrongBad has ALWAYS been mean - it's his persona.

:coachz: Pam Pam!
:marzi: That's Pom Pom for people who don't speak Coach Z.

Funny :p

And Coach Z's creepiness is his personality.

Bubs was a bit out of character, although he was hilarious. But Homestar, Marzipan, Coach Z and Strong Bad were very in character.

King of Town and the Poopsmith weren't though.

I enjoyed this one. I especially appreciated the long-awaited appearance of The Hornblower and The Knight. When I first saw it, I immediately thought of it should have "Idaho" on it with an American flag on top...but alas, it was just a plain-dressed knight.

Ahh, I finally got to see it.

So great, man. Best part was Strong Mad's Easter egg.

:sm: "IT FOLLOWED ME HOME!"

:sb: "Uh, that's not true."

Bubs was awesome, too. I think his was more of a one-time joke, since they actually are friends. It's just funny that Coach Z says all those things about how Bubs is his friend, and then sees that Bubs went out of his way to insult him. Hilarious.

Wow! If the Halloween toon was as funny as this it would've ruled! I mean ,like, look at what's in it! 2 Homsar Shriners, Strong Mad saying crazy stuff, Coach Z taken down another peg, Homestar getting bit in the knee...This rocked!

On an unrelated note, did anyone think in the Homestar easter egg that the box said Thefreakyblueman or whatever that dude's name is?

The box at the end read "blue face man's store"

In other words, "Bubs' Concession Stand". :bubs:

I know what it said but for a split second I thought that's what it said.

I need to make better sentences, I keep being misunderstood.

I LOVED THIS. Marzipans commentary was the best part, and the Marshie float has made me burst into hysterical laughter about 10 times now.

This was great. You had all the elements of the Macy's parade in glorious parody form. Bubs' float reminded me of a lot of the floats with singers that I'm supposed to remember singing songs I'm supposed to care about.
I've watched the Macy's parade every year of my life, TBC hit a real heart string with this one for me.

I never thought I would love a Marshi moment, but I love the Marshie balloon taking out the stand that Coach Z and Marzipan were on. Reminds me of the Bart Simpson balloon taking out a street light in the Macy's parade some years back.

I liked this toon. The commentary won it over for me. Coach Z's line "I regret everything!" was the best line in there.

Ah, les Brothers Chap. You have truly impressed me with this one. It was nice to see Marzipan get a large speaking part, nicer still to see some wonderful jokes ('Coach Z, you jerk!' slew me), and generally delightful to see a fine, fine toon. 8.5/10 on the ol' Pommpscale.

Oh man... I laughed out loud more times at this toon than anything I can remember on H*R in quite awhile with the exception of TGS #10. Strong Mad's 'it followed me home!!!' has to be one of the bestest easter eggs ever! I also loved the KOT's marching band, the double Homsars, and Bubs' 'Coach Z, you jerk!' float. Gotta give this one an A, although I wouldn't really consider it a Thanksgiving toon like some do in the other thread.

Missy's voice work is fantastic for this toon.

:marzi:
"...and never a hit with anyone, it's Homsar. Oh, and there's another Homsar."

She just said those lines so well. I dunno. I'm weird.

TBC make whatever they come up with. Randomness. Glad for the input though... yeah... well anyway...

Seriously, this toon was awexome. Definitely better than the halloween toon, and I liked that one quite a lot. Loved the swee-atshirt float, Strong Mad was adorable in the easter egg... a difficult feat for him... and Homestar's tone while saying "hi" to the bee almost got me fallin off my chair. "And I'm pwetty suwre a wat just bit my knee." Agh, some great Homestar lines... great lines for everyone! I raise my rating, this has got to be one of the best holiday toons just because there are so many good quotes all around.
