"Strong sad head gets whacked"

And you have never seen that happen before?

"marzipan slaps"

It was supposed to be a joke...

"A guy's towel falling off and actually showing back nudity"

NOT VIOLENCE'D. And that's PG for ye.

":sb: and he crapped and he crapped all over that rock"

Woah! That just MIGHT be why it's an outtake! *gasp*

Nice try...

If kicking the cheat
and pushing strong sad off a rooftop
and lighting homestar's magazines on fire
and putting fire ants into strong sad's bed
and hurricane kicking strong sad
and severely injuring homsar
and throwing a rose into strong bad's face isn't violent,
i don't know what is.

From that standpoint, a little "invisible hand" face slap
and strong sad's head getting hit by a carpet bag (yup, that's what those things are called)
and a tiny amount of blood
are NOTHING.

Oh, as for the crapping on the rock, Strong Bad has referenced the Poopsmith as "Shoveling crap for a living."

Sorry, there is just no escaping it: this cartoon can be violent at times, but we should all just accept it, because we certainly don't want to see :trogdor: trogdor :trogdor: disappear because "burninating a peasant's house is too violent." Agreed?

P.S. Thanks nintendogs, for seeing it my way...sorta.

I agree with Ninti and them. While there may be some cartoons that are worse than others, I don't see any reason why any of them should be removed.

Alright, just forget I ever said it X-(
I just don't think yello-dello isn't getting enough appreciation and, ya know, why have it? Frankly, I don't like that cartoon, it hurts my eyes and ears

you want to get rid of yello dello for one gun reference? How about removing "Halloween Potion-ma-jig" too? Pom-Pom Clearly threatens Strong Bad with his gun after the show.

If you want to remove something violent remove the cheat's cartoons where homestar gets kicked in the face, gets hot soup poured on him, gets tripped... and probably others I can't think of.

IF TBC ever removed another toon it would probably be the King of Town Toon, since that one isn't quite as funny as the others.

My point is: You can find violence in a lot of the H*R cartoons if your perception of violence is so loose

There's the bowling toon in Labor Dabor too. You have to click the popcorn at the end to see some clips of it.

No offense Tbc are gods, but i think removing that papyrus easter egg in Lackey made no sense, maybe no toons should go
As strong bad said, The graphics of the kot toon suck, who wants a toon about him anyway, but I still want the kot mainpage easter egg to stay somehow

Just because "no one wants a KoT toon" doesn't mean they should remove it from the site... What has it ever done to deserve such a cruel fate?

You see buhubs, aka madmanwithaknife? Gramrabbit, aka RadSkat3, sometimes (although admittedly very rarely) knows what he's talking about. There's no cartoons that deserve to be taken off because they're violent, right guys?

The old ones should stay for prosperity, or just parody. It'd be like getting rid of the Orignal Book.

heres the lyrics to the holiday greeting:

O holy crap
And something, something, something
Ah, there was this guy
And he was probably born (Jesus)
They didn't know
If he was really stupid
{Off to the side, Homestar is shocked.}
But then they asked somebody
And they said he {chuckles} was stupid (king that orders the death of Jesus...Herod was it?)
{Homestar looks angry.}
He said, uh, that he was great
And ev'body believed him
That guy was {voice cracks} GREEAAAAA—

eh, I still find it offenceive...second choice for toon getting ripped off the site, is yellow dello, not because of violence, but because of nudity.

If Yello Dello was violent, then senior prom should be rated M for explicit sexual content (Strong Bad's boxers. GASP.).

You think that's innapropriate? Let me tell you that seeing blurred nudity of homestar beats the crap out of any innapropriate part strongbad in boxers has. thank goodness sb lied when he said he didn't wear any underdrawers.

I think the morality of HSR is up to TBC to decide on. If the Jesus reference in A Holiday Greeting is offensive to you, choose not to watch it. If Pom-Pom pulling a gun hints too much off violence, don't watch it.

The only reason a toon should be removed from the site is if it is outdated which is again an opinion of TBC

Same here, but for future reference, you can just call them by their names. In this case, though, we all know what you mean.

I'd say none. If you are offended by some part of the material on HomestarRunner, or any site, don't watch it. Simple as that. There is no need to regulate anything, especially when it comes to artistic expression. I'm sure you all know the humor on the site, so just deal with it.

Because it was outdated. Remember the Yello Dello incident? You do know we have a wiki, right?

Yeah, it's not offensive if you don't think much of Jesus. I think that Holiday Greeting and Yello Dello should get the axe.

I'm not terribly religious, but I come from a religious family. I'm quite certain that they wouldn't be offended by Holiday Greeting. Strong Bad isn't making fun or making light of Jesus. That's not the joke. The joke is that Strong Bad doesn't know the words to the song, so he tries to make them up. Then Homestar Runner interrupts him.

Do you see it differently? I really don't understand why this 'toon should be removed.

Additionally, why do you think Yello Dello should be removed? What would be your justification?

I'm not terribly religious either, and it would be extremely stereotypical and hypersensitive religious drone-ish to argue with your viewpoint on faith, so I won't. Anyway, Yello Dello just doesn't fit in. Homestar Runner is pretty much something safe and commercialism-ready now (but not in a bad way). It's lost the untame Weebl and Bob/Fat Pie sort of thing. Yello Dello should just go. The Chaps aren't as willing/free to make unfunny, violent, unprofessional stuff like that any more.

Holiday Greeting should still get burninated. :trogdor: Even if Strong Bad said that Jesus is great, it's still glamorizing the commercialism of Christmas, and what kind of Catholic (or Methodist, whichever spiritual faith The Chaps favor) makes "O Holy Night," "O Holy Crap"? That's just shameful.

You seem like you've got a pretty good head on your shoulders Darth Katana X, so I definitely respect your viewpoint. Still, I think you've lost sight of some major issues.

I understand that you're offended by "A Holiday Greeting". That's okay. People are offended to different degrees by different things. I think you're missing the point of the short, though. Strong Bad is not making fun or making light of Jesus. He's not even voicing an opinion on Jesus. The whole conceit of the scene is that he's forgotten the words to the song so he's making new ones up. You may find "Oh Holy Crap" to be a shameful substitute, but what would you expect Strong Bad to come up with?

Believe me, if I felt Strong Bad was making fun of someone's religious beliefs, I would want the 'toon removed as well. It wouldn't even matter if I were offended or not. That sort of humor doesn't belong on H*R. It's not TBC's style.

As for Yellow Dello, just let it be. Sure, it's sub par and childish, but it shows how much H*R has evolved over the years. Its sense of humor and animation have been refined tremendously. If anything, I'd suggest that TBC move it to the Museum, where it would be preserved for posterity.

butter-da's idea is pretty good, yello-dello to me it's just that, it needs to be put to some degree of rest like in the mueseum where the people that really want to see it can admire it from afar. It's tired out.

I think that the guy who was born wasn't Jesus. It was obviously Strong Sad in a sash, as shown in the First Decemberween.

Or Kobe.

Regardless of the meaning of A Holiday Greeting, that's the one I'd like removed the most, because it's just plain obnoxious. Matt could NOT do Strong Bad singing, and watching him do it for a minute is painful.
