I find it funny that H*R-Wiki has a whole article and transcript written on the cartoon before it is even released on the actual site.

This was... weird... yet strangely awesome in it's own right...

It'll take a few viewings for it to sink in.

Homestar popping up from Strong Sad's sheets gave me a serious case of the jibblies.

EDIT: Is it just me, or has TBC laid on the jibbly factor more than usual with the past few toons?

There was the incognito short-shorts, Homestar's teeth *shudders*, and now this...

I totally loved this short. It's good to see that TBC are branching out a little bit from the SB Email norm, with this and Summer Short Shorts.

It's cool that TBC can base a short around a completely random plot and still make it funny. Like everyone else, I found the throwback jokes awesome (Homestar's head-changing was pretty creepy, though).

I give this short a 96%.

You know, I too was wondering what that could be. Either the pool, or possibly Strong Badia, sans the fence (in which Homestar might have taken down to use as part of the deck.)

I just saw another one next to it, so maybe one was Strong Badia and one was the pool, since the pool's next to Strong Badia. I dunno.

I just noticed that too. It's easy to miss it if you don;t look hard enough.

And to those who have mentioned the lack of eggs, it seems that they have added a few of them. I liked the one at the end.

It was really weird.. But OK and funny at parts. 7.5/10

So Homestar just decided to build a deck out of nowhere? How do the Chaps come up with this stuff?

I have to admit I laughed at the old-skool Homestar.

Let me answer that question for you with a quote from Mike.

Ugh, another new toon that I didn't like.
The toons seem to be going downhill

I'm tellin' ya, man...it's a reference to The Grudge.

Wow, that was a very different and grood!

I liked the little throwback to H*R's past..... and that weird head-morph thing that Homestar did.

:bubs: "And I like to dance!"

I kept expecting to hear that "Home Improvement Sound" thing in the building montage. "uuuuuuuuuaAAAAAAAh???"

I was amused when Homestar showed up behind the stick, mainly because of the impossibility of it.

The thing that REALLY cracked me up, though, was the easter egg with Cardboard Marzipan and Strong Mad. Rofflage.

Prooty grood. 7/10! :ehsteve:

EDIT: Hey, I just noticed that at the beginning, the KOT was eating a remote control and the Cheat was knitting! Wow, that's funny!

I loved it especially the part when :kot: coughed up the tv time remote that was hilarious

Maybe it's the original deck Homestar tried to make, and then he just kept on going...

That's what I figured it was, too.

What are you talking about? Your browser cache is probably out of date, dude.

This toon had its moments, but I didn't think it was anything too special. Homestar showing up in Strong Sad's bed may replace H-Star's teeth as most creepy H*R moment for me. Still funny though.

I love this one. It was.... odd when Homestar popped out from Strong Sad's bed. One of my favorite quotes comes from this toon:

 "I have got to get my prescription changed!"

TBC did quite a good job on this one.

This one was random...but in a good way! Usually when TBC do random crap like this i dont find it very funny but this was quite good. THere wasnt many good parts but there werent many bad parts either. I'm suprised no has mentioned the building song thing! That was hilarious! I loved that part; it was my favourite. Homestar dancing with galvanized nails=pure genius! Also the title Homestar Decker-slaney is probably a reference to the last email.

+2 for song
+1 for references in general (marshmallow reference was only so-so)
+1 for his carpenter outfit
+1 for failed PYOW
-1 for S.S. incident (By FARRRR(ooh im a pirate!) the most creepiest thing in H*)
-1 for "really, really good one" bit
-1 for deckeman. Ive grown tired of them making these kind of jokes. Old and not funny

Overall a solid toon. About 7.5-7.9/10

That was the best thing I have ever seen, done or eaten.

But really, it was good to see Homestar back in the spotlight after all the Strong Bad. What with the Cardboard Marzipan and the montage..

I wonder what Real Marzipan would have to say about the new lumber-covered Free Country? ;D

no. summer short shorts disproves that. although, strong bad running the pool would make sense, if it was near strong badia.

The world would be such a cool place if it were covered in a wooden deck. Or maybe it's time to change my prescription.

Hey, I thought it was pretty funny. My favorite part? Ooh, there's too many to choose... Homestar showing up in Strong Sad's bed ("I have got to get my prescription changed!"), Coach Z trying to be musical, Homestar's failed "Peow!", the carpentry montage, and the scene at the end with all of Free Country U.S.A. "decked out".

Alright, having finally seen this, I can honestly say that it is probably one of the best h*r things ever. It's near the top of my favorites list already.

Woot.

This was awesome. I've watched it three or four times and once upside down.

The montage part cracked me up.

This is one of my favorite toons now.

Wasn't there a Gumby cartoon or something where these guys kept nailing boards over everything and everyone and Gumby had to stop them?

This one felt a lot like a TV-type cartoon. Maybe Matt's starting to pull out his film school learning.

Liked the cartoon, kind of offbeat. I thought the easter egg at the end was pretty funny too.
