Gosh, I feel like such a weirdo. Everyone's in love with this toon, and I just thought it was... bleh. Not my favorite thing ever.

Though on second watchings, I kind of like the montage. Homestar dances funny.

I loved it. Homestar in Strong Sad's bed had me in stitches. And I loved the references to older material. It really reminded me of old school Homestar, which is "really great." :)

I gotta say that cardboard Marzipan is a stroke of pure genious. It really shows off Homestar's character. The way he reacts to absurd situations with a laid back absurdity, or creates absurd situations and then reacts to them is a large part of his character, I think.

And I think that this toon is representative of *intelectual* in his subconcious *smart words* and his*big words and french sayings*

It was alright. I liked Carboard Marzi and the deck-building montage. About average in my book. (What do I know? I loved the "Limozeen" part of the Summer Short Shorts, which everyone seems to hate.)

I liked it after repeated viewings, but toastpaint.

The clouds at the end that they added later were a nice touch. I was surprised to see them when I was just watching it one more time.

Homestar's obsessed with deck-building now. Not even physics can get in his way. :hr:

Actually, I wasn't too wild about this one. I'm all for irrelevence but this one was an overkill. I was actually having a hard time following what was going on, but it could be because it's late. Perhaps my opinion of the toon will improve upon a second viewing.

There were, however, a number of elements that I liked:
--The Return of Cardboard Marzipan
--Melonade! (I was wondering if they had abandoned that)
--Strong Sad (even though I was mildly disturbed by Homestar being in his bed)
--The whole 'morsical' of Coach Z in the newsboy cap. ('Where is Love' will be stuck in my head the rest of of the night.) I would have liked to have seen the rest.
--Boarded up Strong Mad. Poor fella. :O

Speaking of the cartoon, the part that freaked me out the most was the Wooden Clouds. That's some Grade-A Craftmenship right there.

That was probably the strangest thing I've seen lately. Therefore, I loved it. Coach Z made me laugh so hard in this one, as did Homestar in Strong Sad's bed. The montage rocked in a weird kinda way.

if you look at wikipedia history, you can narrow it down to about 19:30 on August the 15th

was homestar's "building scene" with the dancing nails and hammers supposed to be a reference to The Wall? (if someone already mentioned this, sorry).

i really enjoyed this toon. kept me laughing from beginning to end.

I got no problem with it, but I think the standard size is 500 x 100.

Yeah, it has to be 500x100, which includes text.

it was good i think, and i haven't liked a lot of their recent stuff.

and i'd agree that the "cube" is actually the deck...not the pool.

This toon was pretty good, but it felt weird without SB.. It took a few views to understand without SB.. I find he makes things easier to understand. but, it was still cool to see everyone except for him.

I'm sorry if someone's posted this already but since when did homestar have to control marzipan cardboard with a string?

Anyways I thought it was great, except for that part where homestar was in strongsad's bed with strongsad in it. That was just creepy
