So, I'm just going to say... Homsar is totally intelligent. He just has brain damage that doesn't let him speak properly.

I'm not saying that autism causes people to talk in word salads, but it can affect the way a person behaves. Homsar does have word salad syndrome, but the silliness of the words is also affected greatly by autism.

However, I was talking about the fact that Homsar could be a genius, and just misunderstood. That's all.

I know two guys with autism... they're quie smart, but misunderstood... they're treated as stupid... Poor guys... Homsar is a genius, and in army, I think he wanted revenge on :sb:

I think that he's just kind of left out and tries to get attention by saying really random things. The Heavy Lourde didn't cause brain damage, because he spoke in normal English on Marzipan's Answering Machine after it fell on him, and it didn't hurt Strong Sad either. He does sometimes say normal things ("I do as ah'm told", "Who wants to hear it 50 more times?", etc.) or speak in metaphors ("It's a healthy piece of real estate"), so I think he just acts that way to get attention, since none of the main characters seem to like him very much.

If you look at the analysis of Homsar's speech patterns on the Wiki, you''ll see that he doesn't speak in word salads; he just says strange things.
