In a way, Strong Sad standing up for himself is like the Poopsmith talking, or the King of Town going on a diet.

That's the biggest exaggggggggggggeration ever. It's called character development. That's good. Not "Insane Jumping the Shark Character Changes".

But Strong SAD is getting less and less sad! It's what he does, yet he stops doing it.
Character development should be a change that still maintains the purpose of the character, like Strong Bad. He's changed a lot, but he's still bad. Just a different kind of bad.

Besides, I agree with Strong Sad change way more than you seem to think. Or maybe you're just EXTREMELY against the idea of the KoT going on a diet.

Actually that was directed at the Poopsmith talking comment. Not all those "Implied" times, but full on talking.

TBC have acknowledged (sorta) Strong Sad's shift in tone: The magazine Easter egg at the end of your edge (the Have Edge Times, "on the cutting edge of edge having") asks whether Strong Sad is "The NEW FACE of Edgy".

It's called character development, and while I like him become more nerdy, I disapprove of his SBEmail obsession. It's funny, but it seems so not like him.

Ah well. Homestar used to be an athlete. Now he's an idiot doofus.

Homestar is still an athelete. And he has always been stupid, at least in the cartoon ones.

I think it's a good thing. The old Strong Sad, like in depressio (one of my favorite Tandy-emails, btw), was a bit funny sometimes, but this new Strong Sad's oh-so-much better. He's just simply funnier when he's able to defend him a bit with still being mostly in character.

Strong Sad is less depressing. But he's still depressed. Just less depressed. With the italics on high.

Actually, that easter egg made it just legit enough to be OK with. And the entire email was a viewer-mocking one, so it fit ith the theme.

Yeah, it's a creepier part of Coach Z's character. He does think that he's a pretty young thang. Maybe there will be an Email about cross-dressing.

It means Homestar Runner Mark 2
Basically, the second version of the HR website!
Sorry, I just love abbreviating things!

I like when Strong Sad is nerdy, but he's been getting way too confident and happy recently.

Dude, what is with your avatar?

There's nothing wrong with Strong Sad being a Deletehead. It actually makes sense that he has some interests. It also shows how sad he is, because he's the number 1 fan of SBEmails.

But, I prefer :eekdance: in H*R. I'd like to see how TBC evolves this character.

I think Strong Sad secretly builds nuclear weapons in his basement with Homsar.

Yeah, ss has changed. Though this may not be a good thing, i suspect there are two reasons for his change, 1.) strong bad (from what we can tell) does not pick on him or BEAT HIM as much. 2.) He's repressing and bottling up his sadness now. If number two is true, he could snap at any moment and go at everyone with a pistol. Maybe thats the real reason there hasn't been any updates. :p

That's the biggest exaggggggggggggeration ever. It's called character development. That's good. Not "Insane Jumping the Shark Character Changes".

Tee hee. Jumping the shark. Haven't heard that one in a while, that's for sure. Wait, I wasn't really paying attention to the dates. Did I just bump a dead thread? Oops if I did, never mind if I didn't.
Honestly, I'm really happy Strong Sad's finally learning to stand up for himself. He can be really funny when he wants/dares to be. Frankly, he's one of my favorite character, because he's a close second to Strong Bad in characters who have changed the most over the years. Tell you the truth, the only character ever that I've seen change more than Strong Bad and Strong Sad is Jesse from Full House. Now that's character evolution if I ever saw it.
Anyway, kinda getting off topic. Basically, what I'm saying is, kudos to Strong Sad for growing a spine without losing too much of his original personality.
Edit: OH CRAP! IT'S A YEAR SINCE THE LAST POST! Oh well. Too late now.
