I like nearly all of them, but I can tier them.

Top Tier (My favs!!)
:homsar: (My overall favorite!)
:hr:
:coachz:
:sb: (Not as much as the other guys in this tier, but he's awesome and versitile enough to impress me)

High Tier (Characters I like pretty well)
:sm: (He's hard to understand, but really funny)
:marzi:
:pom:
:bubs:

Mid Tier (Pretty good, but not really impressive)
:kot: (he's good enough, but doesn't really blow me away)

Low/Bottom Tier (Character I don't like)
:poop: (He doesn't do anything, doesn't talk, doesn't make me laugh, and is kinda gross)

:sb: - overused, but I don't care. He's the awesomest.
:hr: - he's funny and the title character. There's not much to hate about him. (Even if he is stupid.)
:homsar: his randomness gets me every time.
:pom: - I love the way he bounces around and acts all cool.
:cheat: - He's a cute, but sly character. I am fond of his kickings, however.
:bubs: he's a cool, not-completely-collected character, with a shady brain and a funny mouth.
:senor: he's like the strong bad equivalent of homsar. He may be homeless and creepy, but he always manages to make me bust out a laugh.
 he's the fat, gray, depressing lump, but let's face it. At times he's actually pretty funny.
:sm: I've never liked the oaf characters. This guy kinda bothers me.
:marzi: ho hum... she could be a LOT cooler.
:coachz: "AHH! I don't even want to know what's going on in this picture!!!!" - Strong Bad, commenting on someone dressed as Coach Z in a bathroom.
:kot: no. NO.
and last on my list is the guy with the cr4ppy jop, the :poop:.

:hr: World's least offensive & least obnoxious jock.
:sb: I can relate to him; he's a geek with an atitude, living in the past.
 He makes me think of the macabre comedies aimed at kids of the early 90s.
:senor: An enjoyable spectacle.
:homsar: Never quite predictable.
:kot: I love it when he feins ignorance.
:bubs: I like a swindler.
:coachz: Creepy, but deffinatley funny when he's not trying to rap.
:cheat: I like Cheat Commandos better.
:sm: Not much character development.
:marzi: She's not THE most annoying type of woman in the world, but she's close.
:poop: He's more like a punchline than a character.
:pom: Useless since he stopped being Homestars BFF.

Note- The Characters Are NOT In Orders In Their Tiers, So, For Example, I Like Eh! Steve And Homsar The Same, Despite Eh! Steve Being Higher On The List, Since They Are In The Same Tier.

EDIT: Swapped Homestar With Marzipan. She Can Be Way Too Boring, And Homestar's "Which Ween Costume" Costume Was Funny Enough To Put Him Up One Tier Into Tier 3.

This is my sister's opinion and point of view.

:homsar: Every time I watch him, I ROTFL.
:cheat:  He's just my kind of guy. He's cute, he's funny, but he's also slightly mean. Just like me! Plus he's a DJ. ;)
:bubs: I really like his personality... cause he's got good personality. But I wouldn't wanna live in FCUSA with this guy ripping me off.
:coachz: He's creepy and disgusting, and I like his accent a lot, but it makes me sad that I know he's faking it.
:hr: He's stupid. In a good way. Leave it at that.
:sb: "What!? You like Homestar better than Strong Bad!?" Yes, I do. Even though I like a-da Sbemail, and he's pretty funny with the thinking he's a ladies' man even though he clearly isn't, I think he's way overrated.
:marzi: I don't really like her hippie ways a lot, but she's the only girl. I kinda have to like her.
:kot: There's only one thing I like about him: HE EATS TOO MUCH!
:sm: He's a big stupid oaf in a singlet.
:poop: I like his character. Which is pretty much nothing.
 I don't like him much. The only thing good about him is his logic.
:pom: As the series progressed to a more Strong Bad focus and the humor became more surreal, Pom Pom pretty much faded to behind the black.

Extras:
:senor: (Between The Cheat and Bubs) Though he's less non-sequitur than Homsar, I still think he's really creepy (in a good way) and funny.
:trogdor: (Between Bubs and Coach Z) He burninates everything. I think that's good.
:ehsteve: (Between Marzy and the KoT) "Eh, Steve!"

:cheat: I like that spotted small mammal. He's mischievous, intelligent, and just darn cute.

:homsar: Secret mentally-unpredictable but adorable little man, his peculiar personality makes him a bright character.

:pom: His mellow (but strong) and casual nature makes him cool. Also, he's a kung-fu expert.

:bubs: He's a rip-offer, but that is what makes him shine.

:coachz: His accent is the highlight of his awesomeness.

:hr: Clueless but smart in his own right. And also the protagonist.

:sb: His widespread though overrated popularity and his natural sense of humor.

 Sometimes I can relate to S. Sad.

:sm: A gentle giant in truth, despite his name. But..... he does live up to his name at times.

:kot: A total GLUTTON, and proud of it! The KoT's gluttonous personality makes him worthy of a humor character

:poop: His job may be obvious and disgusting, and he takes a vow of silence, but he still knows how to express himself by sign-holding.

:marzi: Eh, she's lame. No offense.

ok guys. I really, really don't like what ur saying. Sure some of the characters show up less and some barley talk at all (or never talk) but they're all really funny an it's just not necessary to pick favorites when it comes to hrrunner. And if you guys really do want to pick favorites, you shouldn't dis characters in the meantime. That's just making fun of the BC. And you might get other peeps angry.

My faves are as follows:
:hr: He's just so great. He's got everything: Humor, awesomeness, coolness...you get the jist of it.
:homsar: Non-sequitor is hilarious.
:marzi: Surprised why most people don't like her. I think she's cool.
:cheat: He's way cute! :-D
:coachz: He's just so hilarious!!!
:sb: A-da SBEmail.
:pom: Pretty cool guy.
 DNA Evidence made me think completely different of him.
:bubs: Pretty funny, but way shady. I wouldn't buy from his stand.
:sm: BLUE SOCK! BLUE SOCK!
:kot: Not a bad character, but the others are a bit better.
:poop: I don't really hate him. He just doesn't stand out so much. :-(

But every character has their good qualities. Even the Poopsmith (SBEmail 200, anyone?).

Hey, I finally found it! Took a while, but yeah. Anydangway, lemme think for a sec.
Imma go in order of emoticons here first, and then put them in liking order at the end:
:hr: Not only the main character, but an adorable, impodamoontized (go ahead, try to figure out what I meant) oaf. Also, he's got athleticism going for him, although combine that with the fact that he never changes shirts........that hat's pretty adorable, though. I wanna spin the buzzer! So, he'd probably be near the top, or maybe even at.
:sb: People always seem to go to the extremes here: He's funny, he's nerdy, he tries so hard to be cool, he has the most complex character, he is literally the most popular character on the website; he's overused, overrated, he's just not that funny, I'm sick of his email show, he's not really nice or cool - frankly, it's hard to formulate my own opinion of him. The thing is, I'm leaning toward the more liking side of this debate; however, I do agree with a few points on the other side. So, Imma go ahead and stick him in a little above the middle for now, because I honestly do like him, until I figure out what his rightful place on the scale is.
:sm: Meh. I've seen written in this topic that he has a one dimensional character, which I believe is true. But, you know, he's good for the occasional laugh. I don't really feel either way about him, honestly. He's just kinda......neutral. So, he goes in the middle.
 Oh, man, I love this guy! (Yes, that was a reference. Perhaps I adjusted the wording a little, but, eh, whatever. Sue me.) I don't know why. It's kind of hard to explain. I mean, sure, he's supposed to be all depressing and, well, sad, but he honestly does have a happy side, and it always makes me happy to see that side of him. Plus, he's definitely grown a spine over the years, as demonstrated in my favorite Strong Sad quote, 'How do you know that?' I LedOL at that one (that abbreviation's a bit awkward, I know, but when you consider what Lol actually stands for, it's just proper grammar.) Plus, of course, there is his nerdy side, which has always appealed to me. So yeah, he's pretty high up there. Probably above Homestar, but below Pom Pom. Wait, that would make Homestar below him and Pom Pom. Grr. Okay, Pom Pom at the top, Homestar second, Strong Sad third. There. We happy now?
:cheat: Oh, The Cheat. Where do I begin? Well, let's see - I really like him because he just seems so cool without even trying, and although he definitely knows this, I don't see him getting too egotistical about it. Plus, he's so cute!!! I mean, he's such an adorable little Pikachu/cheetah/hamster crossbreed!! And that gold tooth gets me every time. Well, there is the cheating/swindling/other crap to think about - but I don't care!!! He's so awesome!! I mean, he's The friggin Cheat, man! Umm, he might actually go above Pom Pom - but that would place Strong Sad in fourth. Grr.
:bubs: He's cool. I noticed a topic in this forum called Bubs = Bill Cosby. I think that just about sums it up. I mean, they don't exactly have the same mannerisms, but they're both so likeable, and kinda old, and....well.......I dunno. It just sounds right to me somehow. Plus, he has a concession stand, and whenever I see it, I suddenly crave a Sno Cone. I mean, you gotta like a guy who manages his own (albeit small and sleazy) bweesness! Frankly, I find that quite attractive in a man or a woman! Not that I find......Bubs.....attractive.........ummmm............Him a go in da middle, above Strong Bad.
:coachz: Hmmm. Eh. Well. Uh. Erm. Um. Pfargtl. I dunno. The accent's pretty funny, I guess. And his raps are kinda cool. But uh, as for the rest of him......well...........He goes below Senor Cardgage, but above Eh! Steve!
:marzi: Dear Lord, no. I can't write anything about She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. She goes on the bottom.
:pom: I have to say, while Pom Pom was originally my favorite character (just because he's so dang too-cool-for-you), people say he has no substance, that he doesn't do anything, he barely shows up, he kinda faded out, they should have gotten rid of him right off........and frankly, I'm inclined to agree with them. Still, Pom Pom will always hold a special place in my heart, being Homestar's alleged BFF and all (especially after delivering that royal a**-whooping to Strong Bad in pom pom), so I figure he'll go in the spot just above Strong Bad. Wait, no, I already used that spot. Plus I been debating about where in the top he should go. Wait, but , I dunno. Hang on. Okay. He goes right above Bubs, then Homestar, then Strong Sad, then The Cheat. There, that works. I'm satisfied.
:kot: Eh. Meh. His gluttony is funny at times, but that's all he's got going for him, really - and that pitiful desire to be liked by his peers. He'll probably go somewhere near the bottom. Probably...........let's see.........below Coach Z, but above Eh! Steve!
:poop: He's a poopsmith. They don't do much. (P/F FTW) (Whoa, I just realized how wrong that looked. I do NOT mean Phineas and Ferb SLASH. DEAR LORD, NO. Seriously, though, I LOVE that show.) Anyway, he's just kinda in the background most of the time, so I can't really say much about him. I kinda like those few times where he held up Wile E. -esque signs to communicate (such as the one in Jibblies 2). He also has my pity for being a poopsmith. I'll stick him somewhere near the middle. Let's say............right below Strong Mad? Okay.
:homsar: I really like Homsar. Actually, one of (possibly THE) my favorite H*R moment[s] of all time: 'But first we must perform the ancient sacred ceremonymy uncle Chet taught me when I was a kid. I've always wanted to try it.' 'Is it gonna take long? Or hurt? Or hurt long?' 'Relax. Let the energy build.'
Here it comes:
'Join me, in the summoning song! Oooooooooooooooooooooooooohhh....'
'Oooooooooooooooohhhhh'
And then, what Strong Sad hears:
'aaaAAAAaaaAAAAaaaaAAAAaaaaAAAAaaaaAAAAAhh!!!'
OMFG. When I realized the implications of this event.......whoa. I'm like, 'So that's what he's been trying to do all this time.....' And I'm also like, 'So that actually is an entirely different language he speaks.' And I'm also, also like, 'Okay, that conversation has to be the most hilarious thing I have EVER heard.' Plus a few other things. I almost died laughing. And then the last part, the summoning song - like I said, I was kinda gasp-laughing, and all like OMFG. But anyway, because of this, I will always like Homsar. So, hmm.......he goes above Homestar, but below Strong Sad. But now Homestar's sinking lower and lower.......well, he's still in fourth. I think that's okay.
:trogdor: TROOOOOOOOOOOOGDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRR!!! Kind of redundant, but you get my point. I guess he goes right below Senor Cardgage, in that I love rocking out to his song, but there's not much involving him beside that.
:ehsteve: No. Don't really like him. I like him in this one fanfic.....what was it called? Hang on. Okay I found it. Here it is. But other than that, he just doesn't appeal to me. So, Imma put him just above Marzipan. Anywho, on to the lastest, but not the bestest!
:senor: Merf. It's kind of funny that he looks like a much older version of Strong Bad, and that Strong Bad holds him in such high respect. Also, you gotta love the non sequitirs! So, okay, I guess he'd be just a leetle below the middle. Say, two spots.
Okay, now that I have all that typed out, let's get the long and short of it. Best to worst, left to right. Here we go:
:cheat:  :homsar: :hr: :pom: :bubs: :sb: :sm: :poop: :trogdor: :coachz: :senor: :kot: :ehsteve: :marzi:
There you have it. Really long, I suppose, but I got my point across. Thanks for helping me find this topic, BTW, Cheatina.

Location: My location's a closely guarded secret, protected by a sect of monks high atop the Coches Mountains.
To be honest, I like all the characters! But, if I had to pick favorites from best to wrost, here's how it would go down:

1. :sb: Yeah he's my number one. He's my most favorite. He's got the styles! Like me.

2. :bubs: Oh yes, good ol' Bubs. Many reasons to like this guy, he's funny, he's a shady buisnessmin, and his voice is just great.

3. :hr: He has a cute speech impodement, he's a terrfic althlete, and he's "dating" the only girl! What's not to like?

4. :cheat: While he can only talk in cheatanese, he's quite the cool guy. Plus, his voice is the only one I can do perfectly. Meh!

5. While I didn't really like him that much when he first started out, I like him a whole lot more now.

6. :senor: In my opinion, he has said some the best stuff on the site!

7. :kot: Despite what you say, I think the KoT can be pretty cool at times! Like his New Jam Remix! (although the cheat did the remix, the KoT still sang it...)

8. :sm: " Did you just say parakeet? "

9. :homsar: Delicously random.

10. :coachz: His creppieness has sometimes led to some hilarious situations: :marzi: "This garage sale is more like a garBAGE sale."

:sb: "Ah, Ah, Ah. Mom's only!"

:coachz: "oh, than I'm okay to say it!"

11. :pom: Although he hardly ever shows up anymore, but everytime he does, he's sill pretty cool.

12. Now we get to the not so favorites, :marzi: To be honest, her hippie side is pretty annoying, but, every thing else is pretty funny.

13. :poop: I hate putting the poopsmith at the bottom of the list but, lets be honest, he's more of a secondary character more or less. The only time I thought he did something funny was when he was dressed up as the mailman from Majora's Mask.

(I only used the main characters and senor, but if I did put Troggie and Eh! Steve on there, Steve would be last and Trogdor would be between The KoT and Strong Mad.)

So there's my list! Phew, this took long to type, not because of my typing speed but because of the real world. Here's the short version: :sb: :bubs: :hr: :cheat:  :senor: :kot: ( :trogdor: ) :sm: :homsar: :coachz: :pom: :marzi: :poop: ( :ehsteve: )
