I can only assume you mean "if you could name HR characters after people you know who reminds you of them." Since most of us do not have name dictionaries that tell us the definition & history of names.

Admitedly, if they lived in the part of Washington State where I live, they would all have Korean or Thai names. Move a little north; Spanish. WHY HAS NO ONE GIVEN THEM SPANISH NAMES? ::panic!::

Hmm, but why do Japanese names only apply to anime? Why not just a dub of an American cartoon where the names are changed because they're too hard to pronounce in Japanese? Let's do a syllable count....

*Remember that in a proper, non "gaijin" pronunciation, "u"s & "i"s are sometimes silent in Japanese & that ending vowels are pronounced so quickly that they're not audible enough to register as a separate syllable. Also, Americans emphasize the first or 2ed syllables of words (like the wa in water, but Japanese don't do that, & more often than not cram their vowels into a single sound.
