Could someone replace him? I think that the site wouldn't survive more than 12 seconds before it died out.

I'd say since pretty much everything else in the universe is surviving without Homestar Runner, the website probably could as well. Although I'd bet it wouldn't have been as good with someone else behind the spotlight.

Nope. Just Strong Bad would get very old, very fast.

Strong Bad needs someone to bounce off, otherwise he's not as funny. The other characters, too.

I think this is more suited for Characters, so I'ma move it there.

Anyways, I'm sure H*R could survive fine without Homestar, it just wouldn't have the same touch sometimes.

Somehow, I think that it might be able to survive as well, but that to me would definitely seem to be a shark-jumpesque thing to do, but as why I think that I can't quite put my finger on it...

It might be able to survive, but it certainly wouldn't feel the same, as as for that, the different feeling could well easily enough bring about the demise of the site, unless there was some concentrated awesome to make up for lack of the H*R.

Well, Homestar is of course, the namesake of the site, and has one of the largest filmographies, not to mention the fact that some of the best stuff on the site is centered around him, namely, Bug in Mouth Disease and others.

I voted the site "might" die because, in the eyes of us faithful fans, it might very well seem to be dead, but to the next "generation" of H*R fanatics, who never saw Homestar, they might not care.

If you are suggesting that Homestar never existed, then the site would certainly survive, quality entertainment is hard to find on the web, but it simply wouldn't be as good. Not even close. Strong Bad gets old.

There is no way H*R could survive with out Homestar. Or Strong Bad really. I mean, Strong Bad and Homestar are at thier best when they are interacting with each other and if EITHER of them were to leave the website for whatever reason, it would be all over for the rest of the site.

I don't think H*R.com would survive 2 seconds without Homestar. He's the stupid, yet sometimes smart, funny, good guy. xD He's the best character on the site! A lot of people think Strong Bad is the most popular, but I think he's only second to Homestar because Homestar's funnier in a lot of ways. xD

I think that if Homestar were to disappear, they could probably make it survive for a little bit, but it would die out really soon. Unless they got Onion Homestar. xD
(I can see it now: New sbemail! "original homestar")
