I voted for Inviso-Hands and arms. Though telepathy is ultimately cooler, I just think Homestar and Marzipan have invisible limbs. Kinda like Rayman, except more....impaired. |

Sometimes they pick stuff up that they wouldn't ordinarily be able to reach so it is probably telepathy. EDIT: I realise that none of the characters have armholes so they can't move their arms so...it's probably telapathy. |

I think in one toon Homestar puts on a coat, and you see the arms of the coat move as if Homestar had arms, but he doesn't... so his arms are invisible. Plus, in the Yello Dello cartoon Marzipan smacks Homestar and you see a hand print, but NO ARMS! So I voted inviso-hands. |

Case for Inviso-hands: In the yello dello marzipan appears to slap homestra and leave a hand mark (which looked mighty painful) and also in DNA evidence when hhomestar picked up the mountain dwa, the coat arm moved with him as if he had an invisible arm. Also if they were telepathic they would be able to pick things up from very far distances. Case for Telepathy: really really cool |

I think in one toon Homestar holds three objects at once (shoebox, shoes, and lid), so it might be telepathy. Then there's the one with the trenchcoat where the sleeves move like he had invisible arms. Or maybe we're just over-analyzing an internet cartoon. |

If you listen closely to the new E-Mail, Homestar says "Everyone knows I'm the only one with NO ARMS experience with the ladies" WE HAVE FOUND OUR ANSWER!!! |

They have both. They have invisible hands and arms, and whenever they need to do something that would usually require three or more hands (Homestar holds a microphone while flipping through index cards, holds a gross old wig while opening a shoebox, etc.), they use their two invisible hands and use telepathy for the rest. Could someone please add "both" to the poll? |

You're confusing telepathy with telekinesis. Either way, I'm not sure they have either invisible arms OR telekinesis. It's something else, something unexplainable, something that's not just me copping out of answering the poll. |

Every action in the Homestar universe, including those that involve use of characters' hands, are controlled via the use of a cursor and motion tweens in Flash 5. The Homestar universe is merely a computer in disguise. Invisible hands. |

I remember a while back somebody, maybe Windee, posted something about what I think was being called the Inverse Telepathy theorem, in which the intelligence of a no-arms character was inversely proportional to their telekinetic abilities. For example, Marzipan's about the smartest one around for that category, and you don't see her do anything out of the ordinary (watering cans, signs). Homestar is more on the dumb side, so his capabilities are greater than her's (as seen when he does things like holding and manipulating three objects simultaneously, like in Time Capsule). On the far other end of the spectrum, we've got Homsar, who is capable of bizarre actions with his hat (complex movement, transmutation) as well as physically lifting himself from the ground. It seems to describe the h* universe pretty well, which is just a cartoon ![]() Telekinesis. |

I think they have inviso-hands. In DNA Evidence, Homestar has a trench coat, and the sleeves move when he raises his "arms" to do stuff. Also in The Search for the Yello Dello, Marzipan leaves a handprint on Homestar's face, which I doubt telekinesis would do. |
