I like Homestar Runner. It's just so iconic. It's like a surrealist americana and other phrases only I understand. The other names pale to that.

I'm not that fond of Marzipan as a character, but her name is just so- out there! Its one of those obscure things that works as a name because you don't know what the flip it is, and have no interest in knowing until after you hear it! Marzipan- Intriguing folks with her name since the "She Loves Me" game!

Marzipan (almond paste) is delicous. I don't think it's that obscure. That may be because I've been to Colonial Williamburg a trillion times.

No, it's not obscure at all. It is, however, disgusting and should be outlawed.

As for name, definitely Poopsmith. C'mon... Poop... Smith! It's hilarious.

I've always liked The Cheat. It's such a cool name in itself, plus, it's got so many different pronunciations - Da Cheat, The Chort, etc - that are always fun to hear.

I went with the Poopsmith for the simple reason that he was the best delivered character:

So they questioned the Blacksmith...

then they questioned the Poopmsith...

I just found that hilarious.

Well... I don't really consider "Poopsmith" true toilet humor. I think it's funny because of its simplicity, and it's making something dumb, like shoveling poop, into an important-sounding job. It would be the same if you called a janitor a Mopsmith.

I don't know why, but I think Marzipan is a cool name. So, I voted for that. :marzi:

The Cheat. Having "The" as part of your name is just awesome.

Well, in his debut (the sbemail, homsar), he was created just to make fun of the person's spelling of "Homestar". That one person's typo has changed Homestarrunner.com forever... *tear*..

I went with the Coach Z because I like the letter Z! Why? Because Z is awesome! Coach Z! It's all the Coachness of a Z, without all the Zeeness of a Coach. And he can pronounce it! Unlike some people who cannot pronounce their own names, despite his rep for mispronouncing more often than not.

Hmm... who could I be thinking of who cannot pronounce their own name? :hr:

Marzipan is my favorite because of its randomness. (it also has a "Z" in it! :) )

The Cheat, mostly because you HAVE to call him "The Cheat", it can't just be "Cheat" or "That Cheat" it's always "The Cheat".

There as been a few times where the 'The Cheat' has been broken. Like in Caffiene where Strong Bad uses his test Cheat, or when Marzipan holds a sing that reads 'I (heart) that Cheat' in Mile.
