Personaly I prefer his "your edge" styles, to his "Homestarloween Party" styles. |

I voted whiney. Why? When he was a depressed character he was, for lack of a better word, boring. He didn't really have a purpose, he was just there to be sad so he could compensate for the rest of the more energetic characters on the site. Now, when he's whiney, he at least has something to say that will add to his character and bounce off the others in a more interesting way. He still has his depressing moments but in moderation, which is fine by me.

K, heres some definitions (sort of). Depressing Stong Sad is how he started out. Most of what he said was, well, pretty depressing. If you want to see an exaple, see how he acts in "homestarloween party", the first halloween episode. Whiney Strong Sad seems to be generaly more annoying to Strong Bad, and will point out mistakes that he makes. He's also not above making fun of others, and while is less depressing, complains (or whines... hence the name) about stuff more. For an example of this, check out the E-mail "your edge". |

Depressing, mostly because that's who I think of him as since it was his original character. The "new" Strong Sad is funny, too, but the original just seemed more natural to me. |

I like Whiney Strong Sad more, he's like the straight man of the group now (other than Marzipan, of course). These days, I think the depressing part goes to Coach Z, and the gross, and the unsettling. |

Current Strong Sad isn't whiny. I remember him truly whining once in the past few years: In Strong Badia the Free when he and Strong Bad are in the Homsar reservation. Strong Bad may say that he's whiny, but he's biased. He's nerdy and arrogant and likes that he's depressed, but he isn't whiny. I like the current, nerdy Strong Sad over the old one. His personality has more than one dimension to it. |

The only time New Strong Sad bothered me was in slumber party. I'm also annoyed that they stuck him so prominently into The Homestar Runner Gets Something Stuck In His Craw even though he did not appear at all in The Homestar Runner Enters the Strongest Man in the World Contest, but the reason it bothered me does not have to do with his personality. |

Depressing strong sad made me sad instead of making me laugh. (ex. "I dream of my own death. Over, and over, and over again." i forget what that was from, but it made me depressed) I LOVE the new strong sad! I wouldn't call him whiney, but whatever you wanna call it, he's a whole lot funnier, and now one of my favorite characters. |

How much I like charicters is based on how funny I find them, this being a humor site. That being said old depressing Strong Sad wasent very funny. |

I really think I liked him more when he was more depressed. He's still funny, but I've always liked those depressing characters like the early Strong Sad. |

Personally? Whiney/nerdy Strong Sad. I kind of have to agree with what's already been stated; the original Strong Sad really dampened the mood of the cartoon, and not in a funny, oh-here-comes-the-sad-kid-let's-just-go way. Nowadays, though, he's actually funny. Quite the turnaround. And who doesn't love "I don't like food anymore"? |

'Whiney' Strong sad is far more interesting in my opinion. Besides, Depressing Strong Sad just reminds me of the wonderful time I had when I was clinically depressed.  Because of his character change Strong Sad went from being my least favorite character to one of my top three. Depressing Strong Sad's voice bothered me to no end too, for some reason.The Cowboy One: "I don't like food anymore" is one of my favorite quotes on this website. Period.

When I discovered H*R a couple of months ago, the second toon I watched was Yello Dello - I thought "I like these toons, but I hope they don't always have that annoying grey guy in them." Now, however, Strong Sad is one of my favourites, so I have to go for "whiney". |

I liked Depressing SS, the way he'd always speak the same way, and get hurt and have bad things happen that weren't always SB's fault. And how you'd be laughing, and then BAM! SAD! And that emotional shock in and of itself, was funny. Nowadays, he gets too excited about things, and is just a kinda weird nerd dude... who's also whiny. Strong: Yes. Sad? Kinda, not really. |
