This may seem a gigantic stretch - or it may not, which is why I'm asking - but as I watched Batman: The Movie for the 1000000000000th time on Saturday, a thought struck me. Is it possible that Strong Sad's nickname "The Deathly Pallor" is a reference to when Commodore Schmidlapp tells the Joker that his face "has the most ghastly pallor"? |

Erm... not really. Pallor is just how pale something is. Deathly Pallor just means 'as pale as Death' or "as pale as a dead person'. In the joker's case, it's more 'oh god, you're so pale it's creepy'. Not really a reference. Check the dictionary. |

I know what it means, which is kinda why I said it may seem a stretch. But given the uncommon use of the word "pallor" and TBC's track record of Batman references I thought there may be something there. Apparently nobody else thinks so, so I'll leave it there. |
