Old-timey Homsar and Senor Cardgage would be awesome. I picture Senor Cardgage as an old-timey bank teller or librarian or maybe a constable who always mutters senseless phrases like the normal Senor. I don't really think Trogdor or Eh! Steve! would make good old-timey people, though.

They made a 20X6 Trogdor, why not old timey? And honestly: Old timey Homsar would be like, Homestar's cousin or something. Instead of shouting random junk, we would just be plain stupid.

Agreed. Until I saw "Happy Trogday", I didn't know they had made 20X6 Trogdor. Old-Timey Trogdor and Old-Timey Homsar would be great. And maybe it should be a running gag that whenever Old-Timey Trogdor burninates something, he leaves a hole in the "screen" that doesn't disappear until the camera moves.

i haven't even read this, and i know where this is going.
and, trogdor, cardgage, and homsar, oh, and Eh! Steve! are never getting old tim....wait.....nawh.
maybe....nawh. homsar, maybe, but modern day homsar and old timey homestar look to much alike. plus, the other two aren't even main characters.

Yes... that had... nothing to do with the subject.

Anyway, Homsar... maybe. Everyone else would just be overkill.

Post subject:  Re: Old-Timey Homsar

Old timey homsar and cardgage would be awesome, eh!steve might just work, if you made him really posh, like 'verily, steven!' or something like that. Trogdor would be a bit out of place in 1936, though, don't you think? An anime style dragon like shenron with a beefy arm worked, but there have, to my knowlege, been no old black and white 30's cartoons involving dragons.

And antiriku? No offence intended, but this thread is more about old timey toons than it is about 20X6 Coach Z, in that it isn't, in any way, about 20X6 coach Z. There are several threads that are. I suggest you post your theory in one of them instead of confusing/annoying people here.

Post subject:  Re: Old-Timey Homsar

I could probably see the Old-Timey Homsar be called simply "The Homsar". And his dialog would basically be an Old-Timey version of his modern self's dialog. For instance, he might say something like, "I'm a song from the turn of the century!"

Post subject:  Re: Old-Timey Homsar

Whoa, nice idea there! It would follow the pattern of modern-day characters' Old-Timey counterparts having either "Old-Timey" or "The" in front of their name. And no matter what year Homsar is in: 1936, 2008 (um I mean 2009), 20X6... He's just not Homsar without spewing random stuff! Except in Strong Badia The Free... That was an example of where it's good for Homsar to speak correct English.
Now that I think about it, Old-Timey Trogdor would be kinda overkill... But it would certainally be interesting for at least Old-Timey characters to visit (or be visited by, a la "alternate universe") modern-day Trogdor.

I doubt Eh! Steve and Trogdor would have Old-Timey variations.

Midieval variations, however...

Not as out of style as Roman variations, apparently!

That'd be interesting. Just put a bowler hat on his head, replace the star with the word "The Homsar" and make him stand pigeon-toed like the modern version, and we're in business.

Replace the star with an h. sar and change the color of his feet to the same as his shirt and I'll agree.

Old-Timey Homsar could be a friend for Sickly Sam! He needs friends, and their modern day counterparts are friends (well, the closest Sad can get...)

Also, Old-Timey Trogdor could be the S on a 1930's dollar bill. He could have two Old-Timey The Sticks behind/through him.

Is that what a bill from the UK looks like? If so, that wouldn't happen sense TBC and their characters are American.

He's talking about the dollar sign.

Post subject:  Re: Old-Timey Homsar

I think if Troggie did have an old-timey counterpart, he'd look like one of those monsters from old movies like King Kong and Godzilla. He'd look all rubbery and move in cheap stop-motion. I know that would seem out of place in 1936, but in the Homestar Runner universe, there's not much that isn't out of place. Isn't that right?
