Considering the type of character he is, would you consider Strong Bad to be a bit of an antihero?

Well, I didn't vote, because I can't really decide. Mainly because I'm not entirely sure of the definition of an 'antihero'.

Definition of "antihero": "a protagonist or notable figure who is conspicuously lacking in heroic qualities".

I hope this helps.

What exactly is meant by 'heroic qualities?'

Oh god, how long will this go on?
Anyway, I guess he is, since he's not evil but not exactly good.
Or, he could be nothing considering how no one in the series is a hero or villain.
So I'd say he's not. Unless Strong Sad is somehow a villain. :P

Well ex-ca-uuuuuse me! Sorry for not being knowledgeable in this particular subject! It's just that this concept intrigues me, and I wish to know more. Also, I would like to give my opinion on the matter as well. And the person who posted this topic in the first place seemed perfectly happy to provide me with an explanation! Although, your actual answer helps a bit. Enough so that I believe I can acceptably agree with you. No, Strong Bad is indeed not an antihero, basically for the same reasons you listed. But those same reasons would also suggest he isn't a hero.* He has tendencies toward both sides (if indeed there are any), so technically, there's no acceptable answer to this question.
*Which I now realize, rereading your post, you already mentioned. My apologies.

I don't think of him as a hero, antihero, or a villain. He is both a protagonist & an antagonist. He's the every man who dreams of grandeur, but at the end of the day, he's still just a powerless geek still living with his mom, just like at least half of the people who watch this show ::wink wink::

The change in Strong Bad's roles over the years comes up to me every time I see Looney Tunes. Bugs & Daffy are both @$$holes who like to f**k with people for the lulz; the difference is that Bugs is only in it for the lulz, succeeds, & gets praised for his dickery while Daffy is blinded by greed & ambition, fails, & is reminded that he's just an @$$hole. Sometimes Strong Bad is Homestar's Daffy & sometimes he's Bugs. & Homestar, he's Elmer Fudd with a heart of gold.

Living with his mom? But no, I get your point. It's interesting how you compare this cartoon to Looney Toons. Thing is though, I don't see how this relationship is comparable to that of Elmer Fudd and Bugs/Daffy. Still, you gotta love both cartoons. They are EPIC.
