It seems like :sb: is losing his dominance over homestarrunner.com and Homestar is becoming the focus point

how exactly is SB losing his dominance?

1.its a good thing

2.sbs relying on other charachters for jokes

relying on other characters for jokes? Maybe using other characters as jokes, but every character does that. But seriously, homestar showed up for maybe 1.4 minutes, at most, and didn't say anything that was particaulary gut-busting. I'm just guessing you didn't like this week's email.

Look back to the email Car, Homestar had to stop SB from using a tired out strong bad joke and save the email

Post subject:

car wasn't a good email to begin with, besides homestar stopping strong bad from using the tired old joke was the joke. I don't know about "saving" the email tho...

I don't get your point here, one email of the 121 having someone other than Strong Bad as the only character means that he is entirely losing his own?

I certaintly hope they show some of the other major charactors soon. I mean PomPom hasn't been in nearly anything for at least 6 months. I mean he was in the new decemberween toon but only for like 2 seconds in an easter egg. It was nice to see Homestar as the main charactor in that one though. Nearly every update lately has been a Strong Bad e-mail with a few holiday toons. I love Strong Bad, but it would be nice to see some other charactors for a change.

EDIT: also there is a simmilar thread HERE

Homestar derserves this website much more than Strong Bad. Little screwhead, he is.

To be honest, Homestar gets a bit annoying after a while, so I'm glad there hasn't been much of him lately. It's been Strong Bad's site for the past...3-4 months now, since the focal point of the site has been the SBemails more then anything else.

It's homestarrunner.com, not strongbad.com.

That's so true, but sometimes you have to focus at the money maker. They gained popularity through the E-mails, and they make money through their popularity. So by focusing on the emails, they could make more money. I'm guessing that there might be another toon that barely features Strong Bad, like Homestar Decemberween one.

You're absolutely right, but I also think it is important to experiment and try out new creative ideas. Strong Bad E-Mails aren't showing any signs of slowing down, but I certainly wouldn't mind a change of pace. After a while the E-Mails will need to go on a break (or at least I thin they should) and TBC can focus on other characters or features, like Teen Girl Squad or Cheat Commandos. Whatever they do though, I hope it features more of Homestar.

Yeah, TBC seem to be losing their interest in SBE, seeing how little they update it.

You thought there was no more Homestar but guess what there's a Homestar. It's great. We need some more "Homestar in Homestarrunner.com"

They aren't in it for the money. They turned down a TV show deal. A FREAKIN' TV SHOW DEAL! THEY COULD HAVE MADE MILLIONS MABYE! But, no, they continue their little website, which was the better path. What's that? It's the wind... :pom:

But they do make money off the site Pik. With t-shirt, dvd, cd, and other type stuff they nake a considerable amount of money. And they get that money because they're popular. And guess what made them popular?

Not nearly as much money as they would have made with a TV series.

But by going on tv they would be selling out, which is one thing they don't ever want to do.

Wrong thread there buddy, wrong thread there.

Some people think it would be great to see a Homestar TV show, but I wouls never want that to happen. It'd be selling out to make even more money. It's not about the money, it's about making the fans happy. And if we're happy, then we'll buy the stuff in the store.

Lol, SB's site (the URL for which I don't have right now) is a-pretty-pretty good, what with it's being laden with totally random HTML. And the pics of The Cheat are awesome!

But as to the manner at hand, Homestar should be taken in small doses. I can't offhand think of any pure-Homestar toons, but I'm guessing that they're not that great.

The new e-mail has a really nice dosage of Homestar. He was really funny, with the pants and all.
