I noticed several of the wiki's 'character evolution' pages reference a shot from Marshmallow's Last Stand showing several characters in the audience. If that drawing is original, it is the first appearance of many of the main characters. But does anyone else think it may have been changed or inserted at a later point? http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Image:Crowd.JPG Bubs: Looks about the same as in Where My Hat Is At, no problem there. Coach Z: Maybe. But his Z looks a bit more like the current one than in either Hat or the following Yellow Dello. Of course, in Yellow Dello everyone looked weird. Marzipan: She never has changed much in appearance anyway. But Marshmallow's came before She Loves Me, right? KoT: Possibly a drawing of a king here turned into the idea behind his cartoon later? We're really starting to stretch things. Poopsmith: I find it really hard to believe the Poopsmith was drawn before the KoT storyboard. The whole point of the character is 'Homestar talks to the Blacksmith .. then he talks to the Poopsmith, ha ha.' And then one of the characters took off from there. But the Blacksmith and Chef don't appear here, only the character who would later be a main character of Free Country. (Oh, and if the halfway-funny KoT storyboard had in fact been sketched out already, why was Marshmallow's still so sadly unfunny?) Strong Sad: Egad, it looks just like him. Even if we skip Yellow Dello in which he looks notably different, the Strong Sad in this drawing is proportioned just like the current version, unlike his depiction in email depressio. So, uh, maybe the appearances of characters in this shot should be marked 'disputed' for purposes of filmography and character evolution. Just my two cents. |

Interresting idea. I agree with you on the Poopsmith, but the other charactors seem fine to me |

I read on the old wiki that the KOT was added later (and possibly the poopsmith) |

I don't see how this is possible, as the Poopsmith's debut was in the King of Town movie, in which the King is shown before the Blacksmith, and eventually, the Poopsmith. |
