People seem to think of Strong Sad's biography as "depressing" or something, which basically kills the humor, and pages like "Fond Reminisces" don't help much.

So, instead, I thought of this. If we treat every character the same way, can we somehow make the series look less like a comedy and a whole lot more like a tragedy (or something along the lines).

Strong Mad is probably mentally challenged (excuse me if I'm not using the right term), evidenced by his childlike nature and struggle to read even a waffle.

The King of Town has an eating disorder.

Homestar is autistic
Strong Sad is actually dead
Senor Cardgage has dementia (or worse, but I prefer this theory)
And Eh! Steve is a fugitive.

(On an unrealated note, it was because of this forum that I discovered TvTropes in the first place and wasted my first night to its interesting wares. And so the great circle of life continues again.)
