Why did the Brothers Chap change Homestar's design to his current design?

I don't know; why did they change Strong Bad's voice and accent? I think it just has to do with character development and the fact that they're now better at what they do. Take a look at early Simpsons episodes; the characters look very different now. I think it's all an evolving-over-time issue.

Because when they first started, they had a general idea of what they wanted the people to look/soun like, but it took while for them to get comfortable drawing/voicing them.
