The Wiki says that some people think the Kaiser isn't the 1936 version of the King of Town because he has chicken feet, but has anyone ever seen the KoT's feet? Or perhaps he got hungry and ate his own chicken legs.

Then again, the supposed 20x6 Marzipan has arms.

That's true. Could be some sort of mutation or robotic arms or something like that.

Eh, I don't think the King of Town has feet. I think he rides around on a skateboard all day...No! No! A hoverboard! The robe's just too long.

I have no idea what I'm talking about. Too much Back to the Future.

Marzipan and KoT both don't have legs, another peice of proof that they are related.

And Homestar and the KoT both don't have arms which is proof that THEY'RE distantly related!!!!!

Don't forget that they' both have that they both wear red and have white bodies.
Gosh, the KOT and Homestar related.....creepy.

The Kaiser in my opinion is the 1936 KOT because besides from the feet, they both are kings, and have the same facial feature.

AGREE'D!
Back in the day (although a little before 1936), Kaisers were the rulers of Germany and their states (Prussia etc). Kaiser Wilhelm was a mean mean man, with a shrivelled up arm and was a catalyst in World War One.

What I find weird is that it's supposed to take place in 1936, but the Kaiser lost power in Germany after it lost WWI in 1918.

Well, he had to go somewhere. Why not Free Country, USA?

Maybe TBC aren't huge history buffs.

Or they wanted something that sounded like King (Kaiser), and Tsar, Czar, however you wanna spell it sounded too funny on the mikes.

Both forms of the word Caesar anyway!

Another know-it-all-type history message bought to you by Melly

Uh wasn't Kaiser Wilhelm I killed, to start WWI? OR is it another Kaiser?
As with the KOT my guess is that "The Kaiser" is sort of a general term. First time seeing him I Thought he was just a reference, like "Tammany Hall" and assumed the Kaiser was a play on the real Kaiser rather than the KOT. Aside from their visual similarties, remember that KOT has the poopsmith, but the Kaiser has the devil. Same place/room. Plus Strong Bad hates the castle, and likewise he'd hate...hell.

I thought the person who was killed that kicked off WWI was Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria (yes, he was a real person and yes the band Franz Ferdinand named themselves after him).

Yes, the assassination of Duke Franz Ferdinand by a Bolivan(I think) agent kicked off the Great War.

According to Wikipedia a "kaiser" is:
Quote:
Kaiser is a German title meaning emperor, derived from the Roman title of Caesar, as is the Slavic title of Czar.

So I think they were just using kaiser as an old-fashioned term to mean ruler, as the king of town believes himself to be.

This topic reminds me of furious devil-demon-Kaiser arguments. Who was who? Did they even exist?

About the kaiser dates, the kaiser is taken too serious.

Yeah you're right, the archduke. Kaiser was just ruler of Germany, right? (Everettimmy is the sux0rz at history)

You gotta remember KOT and Kaiser both have about the same voice. As with the chicken feet, that's becuase we've never seen the KOT's feet. He simply hasn't sat down like the Kaiser did in hell to our knowledge. He might be like Marzipan- same shape as his robe, feet nonexistent or not very prominent. Or they could still be chicken feet. Or he'd be what Homestar would look like with a robe.

Actually, it was a Serbian who belonged to the Black Hand organisation (a bit like a terrorist group) whilst Ferdy was touring Sarejevo.

Well, he did sit almost the same way in Some Stupid Turkey, but the table is in the way, probably because TBC didn't want us to see his feet.

Gavrillo Princip :)
(Histroy ++)

As for the use of the Kaiser in the 1936 toons, I doubt the years of the Kaiser's power is really important, the Kaiser is a frequent source of humous between my chums and I. Primarialy saying 'The Kaiser' in the same voice/way that 'McGuyver' is said in the Simpsons. (See 'Black Widower' for prime example)
