What if Homestar and Marzipan actually got married and had kids? I think some younger characters would liven up the place, having Strong Bad babysitting them. That would be hilarious. Plus, a cross between the two would be rather funny, quite frankly. Think about it. Have two kids: a boy and a girl. The boy could take after Marzipan and the girl could take after Homestar. Really weird, huh?

From the G4 Interview:
Mike Chapman: When Marzipan and Homestar have a baby, then we've definetly jumped the shark.

Well, I meant what it would be like if Homestar had some kids. Although I still think it would be cool.

I don't think Homestar would make a very good father, somehow.

I think Homestar could easily be a father. You have to admit, it would make a great cartoon. I think TBC should at least make a toon where Homestar has to babysit for someone. That way, we could see how Homestar could be. Personally, I'd like to see Homestar try to raise a kid. Of course, he'd need some help, but who wouldn't in that crazy bunch? I'd love to see him try to feed a baby, and end up with baby food on his shirt. "Howy cwappews! I'm baby food! Yay!"

Uhm... is there ANYTHING that honestly got better from adding a kid to the cast?

I mean, if the kids are there from day one its usually okay, but adding them to an already existing cast never works out well as far as I can tell.

Well, if you've evr seen the episode of Boy Meets World where Cory helps Topanga babysit, an episode where Marzipan and Homestar babysit would pretty much go like that. Homestar would sympathize with the kid, Marzipan would get angry about it, Homestar is too busy the next day worrying about his stomach to notice... It would be pretty hilarious. But... Homestar and Marzipan having kids is a bit too over the top.

I personally think adding characters later is pretty good to do. Besides, what harm could it do? I'm sure younger audiences would relate to younger characters, therefore attracting more viewers. Then perhaps add senior citizens to attract older audiences...

Anyway, I think mixing character's ages would have hilarious results. What if Strong Bad met an old guy and stole his cane? What if a baby poured Mountain Dew on Homestar? See my point?

Except that when shows add new characters it's almost always a sign that they're desperate for more viewers and they'll do anything to get them, and the new character almost never works. I can only think of a handful of times when a new character was actually good, and most of those are from The Sopranos, because that show is just pure genius.

(?) I never thought about that. But just like the Sepranos or whatever you just said, Homestarrunner.com started off really good. It makes me wonder sometimes if Homestarrunner could grow into the world's favorite "show", if that's what you'd call it. I wish it would, man...wish it would.

Anyway, what would it be like if Homestar had kids? From what it sounds, some of you would like it a bit less. I'd still like it, because it's funny. Besides, if TBC did do that idea (which they probably won't) most people would still be a fan for the humor, not the new characters. Oops! I just answered my own question. I'm sure most of yous out there would still watch H*R either way, right?

I believe "of town" would be the name you're looking for.

I agree with Gemini, and I think the Sopranos, which is the best show on television, works with adding new characters because it's so much fun when they kill one off.

I don't even wan't to think about if TBC went so low as to make the characters have kids. How many movies have gone bad when the sequel is about the kids

Homestar should totally babysit those two kids from the Fluffy Puff Commertial and those Halloween eps.

I think what he lacks is not the ability, but the smarts. (I'd add a hypothetical Homestar statement asking about where something goes, but I'm sure it'd get DELORTED...)

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin my personal opinion, I think that no kids should be added to the site, courtesy of Marzipan and Homestar. This is because ususally when something is added avec kids (See The Mummy Returns, the Terminator/kid moments in Terminator 2, Scooby and Scrappy Doo) it gets a whole lot worse. It would be a mistake to add a minature version of Homestar that rides a skateboard and acts the total opposite of Homestar. If TBC were to add kids, then it would only appeal TO kids, as everyone else would find it too cheesy. Well, *I* would. Besides which, isn't the H*R crew a bit young to have the maturity to consider kids? Come to think of it, how old are the cast of H*R? I'd say Strong Bad is probably mid-to-late teen, and Strong Sad is mid teen (it's all that anxiety, innit?) basing that on how they act and stuff, but how old do you think Homestar and Marzipan are?

I think the characters' ages aren't given for good reason. It's clear that the eldest among them are probably Coach Z and Bubs, and possibly the King of Town and, judging by his proportions, The Poopsmith. Everybody else generally acts somewhere between the ages of 5 and 18 (depending on the character, mood, etc.) They wouldn't have that flexibility if they pinned ages to 'em.

What if Strong Bad met an old guy and stole his crown? Oh.. he already did. ;)

Then he'd show us how to make a wet Homestar out of Homestar. ;) Uhm.. would it be that hilarious though if Homestar hot mountain dew poured on him? Oh well it might be chuckle-worthy, I suppose.

The King of Town is the oldest one I think... Senior Citizen pretty much, IMHO. Coach Z and Bubs are about the same age as eachother, and probably mid-forties or early-fifties, or something like that. The Poopsmith might or might not be about the same age as Bubs and Coach Z, but its hard to tell. He's probably at least a thirty something though.

With the exception of the Cheat, whom I'm not sure about, all the others are probably either mid-late teens or early twenty-somethings. The Cheat might or might not be the closest thing to a kid character. Although there are those SB as a kid flashbacks, of course. ;)

I reckon the King of Town would be about 60. Bubs'd be about 45, yeah, but I reckon that Coach Z's a bit younger, probably around 40. The Poopsmith could be any age, I mean he looks fairly fit but that's probably from shovelling whatsit all the time (and he has thinning hair).

Strong Mad would be 25 to 30, Strong Bad would be in his early twenties, Homestar and Marzipan would be maybe about 18 (jeez, Coach Z really likes younger women), and since Homestar looks about 11 in "flashback" I'd say the Cheat is only about 7 or 8 years old.

Homsar is basically a senile old man, so I reckon he'd be older than the King of Town, about 70. Maybe he's Homestar's grandfather?

They also say that the KoT is Marzipan's dad (in fact, TBC said this themselves on one of the really old character pages), but this "fact" is conveniently ignored. :P

Homestar and Homsar don't have any known relation as far as I can tell, other than similar appearance and similar names.
