From the looks of things he was probably going to be homestar's smarter but less athletic sidekick, but since he already had that with pompom homeschool ended up not making any toons. |

I think they could make a great spin-off cartoon featuring Homeschool Winner, Senor, Mr. Bland, the Unguraits |

They could update those characters' appearances to the modern form, then make a parallel world for them. Homeschool winner instead of Homestar. The Unguraits instead of The Cheat. Senor instead of Bubs. Mr. Bland instead of Strong Sad. The unidentified female (from Dancin' Bubs) instead of Marzipan. The Bee instead of Pom Pom. The Umpire instead of Coach Z. etc. The characters in the parallel world would have their own personalities, but have similar functions in the toon. That way, we could see all these characters without having them muddle up the regular storyline (if you could call it that). It would be gweat. |

no, it would be like 20X6 or Teen Girl Squad: An alternate reality that has a few toons. |

Exactly! They could just live in the next town over from the regular crew. The cartoons could be like a "where are they now?" feature. |

Actually, I like the idea of them using the Storybook reality more, and sticking Homeschool, The Unguraits and the others in there. |

True, true. But don't forget that we have already seen (by virtue of the Character Cards) Homeschool Winner and the Unguraits in near-modern form. They seem more like modern-style characters to me, and I think it would make more sense to update the old-style Senor, Mr. Bland, et al, than to put newer characters supposedly back in time. Plus, I'd just like to see what they'd all be like in relation to the modern characters. But your idea could work too. Ok. Ramble over. |

Eh... I'm still seriously doubting Homeschool will ever be used as a featured character - have any of the old abandoned characters ever gotten anywhere close to a true role in a toon/short/E-mail in the modern era (the last 2 or 3 years)? As in something more than flashback form role like Senor and Mr. Bland during the 100th e-mail, which doesn't count. The way I view Homeschool is like the role of whoever the 3rd string quarterback was during the prime years of Brett Favre or Joe Montana - it's possible he might have a little bit of talent, but it's almost completely insignificant in the face of the bigger picture (a whole football team, or the main players of the H*R site). If Homeschool is actually anything like what I or most people imagine him to be, I can't imagine him bringing much noteworthy to the table at all - I just see him as more of a relic of H*R's past, back when the site was nowhere near as developed and entertaining as it is currently. Short answer: I hate him and hope he never comes back.

Booooooo!
I still think it could work. Homeschool Winner wouldn't have to be particularly funny or anything; it would just be interesting to see him a few times, never as a "main" character, just as a minor one, like any of the Cheat Commandos, Sweet Cuppin' Cakes character, etc. He could have his own personality and everything. And I bet you'd like him if they brought him back

meh, I don't particularly hope that they ever bring him into cartoons. He looks so similar to Homestar that if he didn't act like Homestar it would seem awkward but if he did it would be redundant and eliminate the need for a Homestar. Anyway, I just think it's weird that they just made a character and just left him out or maybe he just died. |

It was just an idea they had and dropped. Like Marzipan and KoT being daughter-father. Remember, Homeschool appeared in the early stages of H*R.com's development. |

Twicceeeeeeeee!!! But seriously, Homeschool looks like an ok guy. He probably wouldn't fit into the present H*R crowd right now, he's missed a lot. Considering that, and when they mention'd Homeschool being killed off in the DVD, I believe that we will never see poor Homeschool Winner again, and if we do...I'm buying everyone a cold one. |

I like the little weirdo. I wish that TBC would bring him back. Even if it is another non-speaking role. |

Homeschol needs to come back. Homeschool was meant to be a geek, right? Well the cartoon needs a geek. Strong Sad Is a looser not a geek by the way. |

I kinda like homeschool winner. Once, i emailed strong bad about it. "Hey strong bad, whats up? What happened to homeschool winner? Did you scare him away with your evilness or something? Whats the story? Your friend, Cyberdemon" Obviously it didnt get answered. It would be so cool if it did eh? |

Look, guys. Homeschool can't "come back" because he was never actually HERE. Showing up in the background of a really old game doesn't qualify him as coming back with a grand appearance and legions of adoring fans. I don't think TBC will ever introduce him, and I personally don't want them to. Uh... I guess that's what I think. |

Because he was hasn't been set as a character for five years. TBC don't have anything planned for him, and have no details about his personality or anything. |

Well, he sorta has a point, but then, there's a significant amount of people who seem to at least KNOW about Homeschool and are curious as all get out. It's true, the only official appearance he has on the site is very obscure and nameless, so he was never brought anywhere. Given TBC's description of Homeschool ... I can't help but picture him talking with Tendafoot's voice. On the other hand ... I have to wonder, does Homsar qualify as Homeschool Winner? Albeit one exposed to a nuke plant's core and then fed rabies. |

It's possible that Homeschool was dropped because of Homsar. No reason to have two Homestar clones, right? |
