Seriously, Pom Pom is good for nothing these days. I know that I keep on talking about this crap, but it's true. He's not even Homestar's friend!

TBC could resurrect him, but as of right now, he's worthless.

:trogdor: :pom:

Pom Pom's burninated!

I really don't think he serves a purpose anymore. And even if he were to get his own toon, what would it be?

Him standing around, bubbling? I hope they do SOMETHING with him, but right now he's kinda pointless.

He had a starring role in a fairly recent email, so I'd say he's not down for the count just yet. He is fading away rather quickly, though. :( I hope he makes a comeback.

My favorite character is NOT obsolete. Pom Pom is the only reason Free Country doesn't go insane.

How so?

Anyway, I doubt they would just get rid of Pom Pom, but I feel that that's what they've been gradually doing over the last months. Even in the email pom pom, Pom Pom was barely in it!

Pom Pom hasn't had a major role since a Jumping Jack Contest.

Well, it's easy to see why he hasn't shown up in a while! Everyone's mad about what he did to SB X-( !! (That's Free Country inhabitants, and fans)

he never does anything anymore. he is kinda funny, but it's hard to come up with witty lines for a character who can only speak in bubbles.

I don't think he's obsolete just yet. I really hope that he makes a huge comeback someday. Don't leave us Pom-Pom! :pom:

Well, he's the only one there that's reasonable intelligent that doesn't annoy other people. I don't think he's pointless, but we deffinately need more of him.

Well he's the best defense the others have got from Strong Bad's criminality. Strong Sad has a clue, but isn't "strong" enough, The Poopsmith doesn't really do anything, The Cheat and Strong Mad are loyal, The king doesn't care, Marzipan wouldn't do anything, Homsar's crazy, Etc.
But as of now, that's just up to Coach Z, Bubs, and Homestar.

And how does that save him from being obsolete? The Model T was the first mass-produced car, but it's still obsolete.

No. I can't blame him either. His parents think he's dead.

Pom Pom's there to be Homestar's best friend more or less. I'm hoping in the next big toon with Homestar in it, thye'll team up and do something great. He doesn't really need lines in his morally strong, honest helper role.

Good ol Pom Pom, sad to see his vocabulary is limited by the bubbling sounds :pom: Maybe he should bubble in Morse code.

Poor PomPom. It must be hard to write material about him. I'm sure the Bros. Chaps. won't abandon him completely, as he's played such prominent roles in the past. At least one thing is for certain--PomPom will make a grand comeback before the Poopsmith has any starring or overly significant roles. Poor Poopsmith.

No, I don't think anyone's mad about that. No one even saw it except Bubs, so the characters can't be mad about it. And the fans were just glad to see him again. :)

I voted for no. The bubble noises really limit him a lot, but it's like what Charlie Chaplin said, "If the tramp talks, he dies."

But whenever you see and Homestar together nowadays, Pom Pom's always being annoyed at Homestar.

Black Metal wrote:

Yeah, but it's the rarity of his appearances and his lack of importance when he appears that's bothering people.

Black Metal wrote:

He seems to still have a place in the H*R Universe that he fulfills.

Black Metal wrote:

Plenty of people are putting Pom Pom and the Poopsmith in the same "almost obsolete, but hopefully they'll come back" category.

Well he played as big a role as the KOT in the most recent toon. Pom Pom's still hangin' around...

Nah, I'd just say he isn't around as often. You can't say he's dead, and you can't say he's around a lot. *shrugs*

it even seems that pompom dosen't hang around homestar as much. Homestar is now hanging around strong bad, and thier friendship is a love/hate variety. Homestar can come and go to strong bad's house whenever he wants "frequent e-mails", and Strong Bad has even been seen watching T.V. with Homestar "sweet cuppin' cakes decemberween cartoon". Pompom on the other hand has not had a good friendship with homestar, since thier falling-out days around "3 times halloween fun job". Homestar also has always taken advantage/annoyed pompom as seen in "Marshmello's last stand" to the most recent, "bug in mouth disease". Pompom actually would rather talk to the KOT, than Homestarrunner. So in conclusion, the reason pompom hasn't been seen/considered dead is because of his inability to cope with the star of the website.

Has anyone seen the movie Reservoir Dogs? At the moment, Pom-Pom is like Mr. Blue--one of the "main" characters, but only speaks like three lines and is otherwise absent from the movie. But still important somehow. I like Pom-Pom, and I hope he gets a big toon all for himself someday soon. As a matter of fact, I'd like to see TBC not put Strong Bad in every single animation, and instead have some more cartoons with the interactions between the others for a change. Maybe even something with no plot, just the characters sitting around talking. Wouldn't that be potentially hilarious?

I do like Napoleon Dynamite, but I was really thinking more along the lines of like just having the characters just, maybe sitting in the marshmallow shop, talking about, well, anything. Just to get in some good character development.
