When I read about The Cheat on Wikipedia, I actually thought he actually was 43 years old!(I wasn't reading very clearly at that time, I don't think) And I didn't know Bubs was a main character, I thought he was a random guy for the "Dancin' Bubs" game. I kinda got to see a few other stuff about Homsar before the email "homsar", and I didn't know it was a typing error, I thought the person MEANT to type "homsar". This has nothing to do with characters, but I thought that Homestar Runner was a TV show, I also thought the song by "The Very Low Sodium Band" was the official theme song. So when I first heard the intro song on the websight I thought the singers would start saying "I don't want your Mickey Mouse(I know it's "wimpy" mouse, but I didn't know that then), I don't want your lame bunny..." ect. ect. And when Homestar starting singing I was like "oh, maybe that's just a shorter version". I also thought that The Cheat lived with Strong Bad and his brothers. And I thought Strong Bad was completely cold-hearted and selfish and his relationship with Strong Sad(who I thought was always depressed) and Homestar was always the same. And I thought Marzipan was just a vegetarian, not a vegan. And I thought Coach Z was just a normal coach and Bubs always hated him. And I thought that the characters WERE their counterparts. (1-Up was Homestar Runner, Stinkoman was Strong Bad, The Homestar Runner was Homestar, ect.) I didn't notice any of the characters' voices change, except Marzipan. Yes, I thought a lot of wrong things about the websight. |

likalaruku wrote: I thought was Marzipan's dad. I thought was more of a person & less of a pet. I thought was Homestar's BFF. Technically, those were the original intentions (well, not The Cheat being a person). If you go to the Old Characters Page, for the K.O.T., it says he's Marzipan's dad. Also, Pom Pom and Homestar are supposed to be BFFs. I'm not surprised at you think of The Cheat as a person. Frankly, he does act much more like a person. On to my thoughts: I didn't really have a chance at getting a wrong impression, because I was introduced to the website by two of my friends (who also happen to be sisters, not MY sisters but sisters of each other), who showed me around the site and explained all the characters and whatnot. It's kind of stupid to be posting here then, I guess. Umm....I'm gonna go....place. |

I used to think was a one-time character and that he actually was killed by that heavy lourde, because I first saw him in the email "homsar". Then when I saw him again, I was like "Huh?" Then I pressed the eject button on the Characters page, and there it was. I was so embarressed. |

Well, don't be. You're awesome, and that seems like a very easy mistake to make. I was just one of the lucky ones who had their own personal guide(s) around the site. |

Cheatina wrote: Y..y...you think I'm...awesome? Why so surprised? Yes, yes I do. Gotta love Mr. Green! By the way, I believe that was the original intention. But then Homsar left a message on Marzipan's answering machine thanking her for sending him flowers while he was in the hospital. So, yeah. He's alive and floatin'! Hey, do you know the difference between while and whilst? I don't . |

Impression: Has a Helga Patacky-style crush on Marzipan & hates Homestar to death. Reality: Doesn't seem to like Marzipan, but gets his jollies antagonizing her. As for Homestar, he provides a challenge to dupe because he's oblivious & forgetful, meaning it's a blank slate every time while Marzipan probably keeps a list of every annoying thing Strong Bad has ever done. Impression: Goth. Reality: Emo. Impression: Coach. Reality: Janitor with Raper aspirations. Impression: Retarded. Reality: What we're hearing is not what he's really saying. Impression: Token girlfriend for the hero. Reality: Dating Homestar because everyone else is somehow a bigger looser in her eyes, or too old, except for the Cheat, & Pom-Pom is a playboy. Impression: Homestar's BFF. Reality: Self-centered, the kind that dumps friends when hanging out with them damages their own image. (Seriously, he's had the biggest personality change of any character). |

^Please, PLEASE tell me you meant "rapper"... And I'm getting a little tired of you saying stopped being 's BFF. Never in any toon did he stop. Sure, he gets annoyed with him sometimes, but this is we're talking about. EVERYBODY gets annoyed with him sometimes. Plus just because they don't always get along doesn't automatically mean they're not friends anymore. So just keep that in mind. |

Then I went to the Toons menu, and I saw Strong Bad (didn't know his name back then) on the TV Guide menu cover. But I couldn't see his legs. With his head and body looking like they do, and me not seeing his legs, it looked like a girl's chest with a black shirt. I'm going this way. (runs) ... *laughs for 2 hours and dies* LOL, sorry, but that just kinda took me by surprise. And does his FACE look like a girl's anyway? No? Didn't think so. Okay, I'm slightly creeped out, but still, don't be ashamed. |

You think Fan fiction is creppy, you should search "homestar" on Deviant Art and see what comes up. I once did that and I'll tell you, I was scarred for life, man. SCARRED. FOR. LIFE. (I am not against gay people just so you know and if you've seen some of those pictures you know what I mean. Did you know that reading small text is bad for your eyes?) |

Thanks, but no thanks. If there's stuff on THERE that's actually CREEPIER than FanFiction, I'd rather not see it. Then again......it's so tempting........grr. P.S. Yes, I did know that, you ironic person, you. I don't have anything against gay people, either. |

well let me tell you this, the fan fiction that's linked in your sig, most of the Creepy pictures I mentioned is made by those people. Chakcrumchuker and badpirate. I really don't know where they get the whole Strong Bad and Homestar being a couple idea from. |

I'm not surprised. And apparently, I did something to badpirate so horrible that she saw fit to tell me off for it in a PM - although, I myself have no idea what I did. I'm considering the possibility of her being some kind of troll, but not without evidence. I don't want to get in over my head. As for the idea of HSR/SB, all I can say is that, in my experience, the public tends to want characters who are supposed to hate each other to get together. This notion, in this case, is supported by the adorable way Homestar obviously fawns over Strong Bad, and how Strong Bad definitely doesn't return the affection (at least not in ways that could make this even close to canon), but does have his kinder moments. It's the perfect love/hate couple. |

I definalty would say that SB and HSR get along well at times as a friendly relationship but definalty not to take to the next level. I used to look at Chakcrumchukers art because she actually has made some pretty funny artwork and comics of the H*R characters. I can't say the same for badpirate because, you know, more creepy pictures than funny. |
