Homsar seems to really be a love/hate scenario. So what do you think of him? Is he good, bad or just okay?

He's not quite as priceless as the main sources of comic gold on the site (Strong Bad, Homestar, The Cheat, Bubs, and Strong Sad), just because of his limited appearances and 'only works in small doses' status, but when he has his quotable moments he can be downright hilarious, especially on his secret main page. "Kelsey Grammar!" "Legitimate business!" Sooooo good!

Homsar is cool. He's just a different kind of cool than the other characters. H*R (as a website) wouldn't be the same without him. And without him, people would look at me weird(er) when I proclaim random things. And, Homsar is cool.

OK, I'll say this once more:

Homsar is funny, but only, ONLY in small doses.

I agree. I think Homsar should be in every big toon, within an easter egg. He really shouldn't appear much outside of easter eggs though.

How many threads have we had about this now? (voted good only in small doses)

Yes, how many of these have we had? But I never pass up a chance to proclaim my "no good" stance on Homsar.

I don't mind these that much. I AM getting annoyed by all those Pom-Pom-is-obsolete-give-him-a-comeback-threads.

[backontopic]I think Homsar is total hilarity when he's used, but he's like the top of the food pyramid. SOOOO GOOOOOD[/backontopic]

Great comparison. He's real sweet, but too much will make you sick. :p :homsar:

Homsar is definitely an example of the law of diminishing returns. Far and away my favorite character on the site, but I think he works best when he's only hidden in easter eggs, with scant few appearances elsewhere. The part in "other town" I thought was just pointless, as well as him in that mascot costume. The easter egg in the Pumpkin Carving thing, Dragon, and Suntan were awesome, however.

Homsar works when he's sort of the freaky little secret of the site, you know? Him and Senor Cardgage are similar like that, I mean you can't just continually have him saying things like "I'm the ghost of Christmas paaast" before it starts to get dull.

I also think Homsar should get bonus points simply for being a character spawned from a typo of Homestar. The idea of Homsar being literally the walking, weird-talking embodiment of a messed-up Homestar is what I really dig about him.

Although he doesn't have the potential to make me laugh, Homsar and his- what's the word?- WORD CAESAR SALADS!!!- make him a fine and trendy cup-a-ma-jigger-bob. EVERYBODY STARE AT HIM!!!

I think I speak for a fair number of people when I ask, "Huh?" about that last post. Regardless of that, I will stare at him, thank you.

Homsar fills a void that barely exists in H*R anymore: sheer randomness.

I don't know. The more he's quoted, the less I like him. But I still laugh when I see new stuff, so I'm going to say he's ok. And I don't mean sooo good.

Homsar is only funny a little bit, like whar rodram said, but he never does anything..th emost he's done was probably the kid's show. But that was funny..His quotes are only funnny when they are clever, yet just odd enough to go over no one's heads. Such as caramel corn for pres., or I'm not gonna lie to ya, that's a fine piece of realestate. I think his character was originally made to be anooying, what with all the constant "AaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaA!!!!"..i mean...that only gets so fun..i really don't like his voice..lately it's been getting more tolerable...but i'd say TBC uses him well...He just sort of fills that last person in the crowd type..cause he's not so unordinary in the shorts that he's random, but enough to keep a place in the HR crew. Unlike the poopsmith. He's just..kind of there...
Continueing with more things i hought of, I think homsar was also created by TBC to be a hidden-type cahracter (characters page, mainly) oh yeah, and (2005...but he's come out more..he's blossoming..our little homsie is growing up...

I think he's ok. He gets annoying in large doses...especially in conjunction with Strong Sad.
