Strong Bad would be a socialist libertarian. That makes no sense, right? But remember that this is Strong Bad we're talking about. 1) Socialist - All power is in the hands of the government. Strong Bad likes power. 2) Libertarian - "The government that governs least governs best." He's pretty lazy, and he'll interpret things how he wants. Thus, with his interpretation of these two ideologies, he'd have all the power and could use it whenever he felt like it.
The Cheat would be Strong Bad's lawyer, much like in sb_email 22, and Strong Mad would do whatever Strong Bad and the Cheat do. Strong Sad wouldn't commit himself to any party, believing that whatever he does will fail and he wouldn't want to hurt his party of choice. Poor guy. Marzipan is has a set of beliefs that don't fall neatly into one party. Vegetarian, environmentalist, supports the people over the government, believes in equality for all... she'd probably run as an independent to be the first female President. I bet she'd help boost the American soy market. Homestar would support Marshie for President, and Marzipan would break up with him (again). Bubs would sell support merchandise for every candidate and party. Coach Z is probably liberal, though I don't know whether he'd be socialist- or libertarian-leaning. He'd probably like for the government to help him with his financial problems, but he probably wants to "fight the power" as well. I can definitely see him as a hippie when he was younger. Pom Pom... I think he'd probably separate himself from politics. Not exactly sure why, but it works for me in my mind (that's not saying much). The King of Town supports a monarchical society. The Poopsmith would follow silently. Homsar wants caramel corn for President, remember? But he's a moderate; he said "please." Geez, what a long post.

Hmm ... I'll take a crack at it. Homestar: Whatever political views Homestar has, he probably wouldn't be able to vote for them--I'm sure Marzipan would make him vote for whatever party she's into. But then, Homestar would "mess up," pretend to be a confused voter like what happened to Florida in '00, and vote for what he really wanted. (Give the dude some credit, he pwned Strong Bad in "stupid stuff" and "secret recipies" (sorta)! I don't think he's as stupid as he makes himself out to be.) As for what Homestar would be ... you know, I have no clue. He hasn't shown a lick of a political stance, out of all the characters in the cartoon. It'd be too easy to say 'Republican,' since he and the toon are "all-American" in flavor, and right now that's the "all-American" party. That kind of thing is subject to change, though for most of the last century Republicans seemto've been the "all-American" party. That and they're the Grand Old Party who had Abraham Lincoln (who was president when the Civil War was fought and won by the Union ... and Democrats were either pro-secession and/or detente) ... the Republican party has this stereotype aura of being the party to vote for if you're patriotic about your country. ... So maybe he WOULD vote Republican ... Marzipan: I'm tempted to say "whatever party has an ecofeminist stance." Barring that, Green. Bubs: I'd say Libertarian. No doubt about it. Take a look at the polictical party's stance. It's so him! Coach Z: Does he still have that crush on Marzipan? If so, I'd say he'd vote for whatever party he'd think would impress Marzipan. Most likely the Green party, even if Marzi doesn't vote Green (just because of the multiple levels of humor associated with it). King of Town: He'd probably form his own party, Royalist Party of America, and only get voted by a few of the people in his castle. Strong Sad: Either he'd be forced to vote for Strong Bad or he'd vote for a fringe party. I wouldn't say communist. On the other hand, he'd probably like the idea of a purely communist society ... so who knows? Strong Bad: I'm definitely sure Strong Bad would vy for a dicatorship of some kind. I mean, look at Strong Badia. It's safe to say the Cheat and Strong Mad would vote for him too. (I'm way too tempted to invoke Godwin's Law, mention you-know-who, and say that's how Strong Bad would take over ... ) Pom Pom: I get this feeling that Pom Pom would be into Democrat ... But he's the guy who'd never reveal who he votes for, because he's cool like that. Homsar: "UhaAAaaAaaAAaaA'm a hanging chad for Ross Perooooot!" I think that about covers it ... |

I'd think so. He expressed interest in her in Happy Fireworks, even though she was but a cardboard cut-out controlled by Homestar at the time. |

Marzipan: Homestar, the presidential election is coming up and I want to know who you're voting for. Homestar: Right. The vote. I'm voting for.... Pom Pom. Pom Pom (in distance): *bubbles* Marzipan: Well, I meant, which party are you supporting? Homestar: Oh. A party and such. I'm... a Republicrat. (closed-eye grin) Marzipan: Homestar, I don't think that's a political party. Homestar: Right right right. I meant... a Demopubrican. (Marzipan walks off, annoyed. |

Jeeze, sorry. How was I supposed to know? Maybe if I didn't get flamed for browsing 2004 threads, I would've done that. |
