It seems to me that SB and Homestar have switched places to some extent. It used to be that Strong Bad was constantly barging in, ruinig Homestar's plans, but with the succes of his Email Show, (Bubs' and Homestar's comments notwithstanding), he hasn't had that much time to focus on annoying Homestar, so Homestar has taken up the task of annoying Strong Bad. As evidenced in Time Capsule, Stupid Stuff, Flashback, and any number of other Sbemails, Homestar's new hobby is breaking into Strong Bad's house (to the extent that he is not hanging out with Pom Pom as much). Perhaps now that Strong Bad is finally leaving him alone more often, he secretly wants to be cool like SB? He does seem to look up to the On Pointe Kings, judging by his comment in Lookin' at a Thing in a Bag: "I mean, I think... I'm... a cool guy..." |

SB's somewhat of an anti-hero, so i guess that makes Homestar some kind of.... anti-villain. |

Yeah, I've noticed Homestar's main role lately has been merely to annoy Strong Bad. Which, I mean, confirms the fact that Strong Bad's taking over, as character roles are changing to fit his perspective. But I hope Homestar will still always be the lovable idiot he is and the best character. and if not- well, I'll just stop showing up mondays and fridays. |

Yeah, it's just lining up to fit SB's perspective. The Strongs and the Cheat are being used a lot more these days, and everyone else is set on irritating them. And it's still good. |

Or the Strongs irrating them. Or the Strongs irritating on particular Strong. Or parties onb the moon! We've got pancake,s soda, popcicles, free gingersnaps! On second thought, no parties on the moon. And no free gingersnaps! Those gingersnaps are mine! Actually, what the heck IS a gingersnap? It sounds like an.. ale. |

I wonder if the reason Strongbad and The Cheat were always plotting against Homestar was because this was the way it has always been. Perhaps, it isn't a new thing for everyone to bug Strongbad. Rather, it's just something that we are starting to see (and has been going on for a while). Just a thought

Yeah, roles have changed. Old 'toons were like:  Mwaha! I shall ruin joor plans!
 Ooh, no. It's-a Stwong Bayyyyyyyyyd!
And now they're like: Hey, Stwong Bad, I'm gonna ruin your plans!
Aw, crap. It's Homestar.
The only difference is that Homestar usually succeeds in annoying Strong Bad, while before, Strong Bad was perpetually unable to fade Homestar. |
