I just noticed something 'cos I'm a dork. Though Free Country USA seems an otherwise pleasant place to live - low crime, interesting socal scene etc - their jobless rate is through the roof. Given that Bubs, the Poopsmith, Couch Z (kinda), and the KOT (kinda) are the only main characters who have regular jobs, that makes the unemployment rate of F-C-USA a staggering 75%. The rest are welfare scroungers if you ask me.

Homestar and Strong Bad work at the place they do. Senor Cardgage has/had a mortgage company and car dealership.

SB had a part-time job. But what does KOT do?

He doesn't need a job. He's a king.

SB and HR work at the office, which is why they have BizCasFri.
And The Cheat works for SB.

But money seems very easy to come by in FCUSA, it would have to or else Bubs would go outta business.

Oh yeah, I forgot Biz Cas Fri. Dropping the unemployment rate... 50%. The Cheat's employment status is debatable since he seems to exist on tips and perks, but if we were to include him... 41%. Almost the same as Germany. (I'm not including Senor Cardgage - he's not a main character).

Well, Strong Mad had a one-day job in local news, he was the sportsman guy. Marzipan is too busy with her protests, Strong Sad may enter poetry contests and stuff which probably has him covered. Homsar has his kids show, if it's still running.

Well, asuming Pom Pom is unemployed, the unemployment rate in Free Country USA is 25%. That's still pretty bad, though. If Pom pom did have a job, it would give it a 17% unemployment rate.

Dag. I forgot Pom Pom.

I think he's unemployed, however, making three of them job-less.

Most of them also have school, as it's been mentioned a few times, so that could explain the other unemployments.

Oh yeah, and these guys aren;t the only people in Free Country USA, there are a lot of other people, like Cardgage, the announcer, random people in crowds, other people at the office where Homestar and Strong Bad work, and people like that. We're only taking a small chnk of the population, and are not even sure if we're completely correct.

Ha ha ha! Fun with spelling and grammer mishaps!

EDIT: *Oh sweet mercy*... of course... that should be... "spelling and grammar"...

I wish I had a Couch Z...

Don't forget that Homestar runs "The Show" (referring to "The Show" from the email of the same name, not the quote from his character video). Also, the Cheat creates music videos and such for his clients, and I'm sure he charges them for it.

I don't know what Pom Pom and Strong Sad do, but they've gotta have some source of money. Pom Pom has his Pom Pilot and Strong Sad has his i-Pod. Plus, his blog means that Strong Sad has computer and internet access... though perhaps he uses The Cheat's computer. I doubt that Strong Bad would share his or that Strong Sad would want to share (I believe he mocked Strong Bad's choice of computer when the Tandy exploded).

But then again, in the first Halloween 'toon, Strong Bad mentions his mom helped with his fruity hat. Perhaps that's where Strong Sad's money comes from: his parents. He is the baby of the family, after all.

just a thought, but is pom pom even a citizen of free county usa? he came from the isle of poms, which makes him an immigrant. for all we know, he might just be on an extended vacation, or there illegally.

Oh man, Couch Z sounds like just as classic as a typo as Homsar, if not more. If anyone hasn't yet submitted any Couch Z-related artwork to Weekly Fanstuff, DO IT NOW!!!! I'm positive TBC would really get a kick out of it.

I just remebered, even though Coach Z has teh job of a coach, he doesn't get a great salary, as he "can't aford the money-cost variety"

I'm guessing Pom-Pom has a really cushy job, because of all the expensive stuff he has, or he inherited, Strong Sad is too young to have a job anyway and Marzipan is a hippie and a protester. That explains all their unemployment

That's a good point about Pom Pom being an immigrant. Someone should ask strongbad about that. lol.

Strong Bad doesn't have a part-time job anymore! He quit because he wanted to finish the email!

Pom Pom is a photographer, remember? He did the photo shoot for SB's modeling gig. And how do you think he meets all those ladies?

And Strong Mad helps out in the email production room; chews 'em up, spits 'em out.

The Strong Mad part is true, but I don't nthink Pom Pom's a photographer. Strong Bad jsut said "Pom Pom has a camera..."

Pom Pom does seem to do a lot of freelance artistic stuff... the modeling shoot, and then there was that documentary he made. If he does have a job, maybe that's why he's gone all the time. I'd believe him as some kind of modern artist.

What about Strong Sad and The Cheat directing The Experamental Film? He did say "I hope I still get paid."
