Which of the characters above do you think are appearing too much? I think Bubs is appearing a little too much lately, what, in constant emails, toons, and commentaries. Next would be the KOT (yes, he is starting to appear too much), Coach Z, and Stinkoman (too... much... 20X6 action these days, especially in the DVD).

Note that Pom Pom and the Poopsmith aren't here, since if they are, the whole point of this poll would be contradicted.

Oh, and Strong Bad's not here, since he is basically the main star of the show.

There has been alot of Stinkoman recently, but I don't mind that. He's one of my favorite characters. Homsar doesn't appear all that much but it seems like he is appearring more than he used to. I would like to see less of Strong Bad, however, because as you say:

Strong Bad has become the star of the show. Am I the only one who realizes the name of the website is HOMESTARRUNNER.COM, not strongbad.com? I really think some non-SB toons would be good.

Like in the last poll, I vote Stinkoman, Too much 20X6, it's getting a little annoying. I';m not as much of a fan of 20X6 than some people, so I never really liked it much, except for the game, and Pan Pan, who's pretty cool.

I slightly agree. I like toons like Bug In Mouth Disease, where there are a few plots. That bway a lot of characters are featured.

How is he being featured too much? He just has small parts in a few sbemails or toons, he barely appears in my opinion.

I said Stinkoman before, just because the 20x6 game is getting a little too much coverage IMO - yeah, it's good and all, but it's probably one of the more overrated things on the site. How many more quality SBemails and toons could they have done if they didn't spend that time on more levels? Of course, my view on this might partly be such because I find it hard to get very far in the game, but I don't find it nearly as fun as I did Trogdor, Peasant's Quest or even Population: Tire, for that matter.

I don't think the other non-SB characters have gotten to the point where they're much overused yet.

Maybe I said that incorrectly, since that kind of exaggerates the KOT's rate of appearances. But you do have to admit, his appearances are starting to be constant. What, with secret recipes, rock opera, a little break there, so that's good. But then there's Bug in Mouth Disease, rampage, and then four emails later, there's the KOT being karate chopped by Strong Bad in modeling. Then he makes another appearance one email later. Come to think of it, I don't think it's that constant, especially since in those appearances, he doesn't do much.

Oh well, so right now, first place is Bubs, then Stinkoman. Really, who else thinks Bubs is appearing a bit too much?

Umm... 2? There were only two weeks where they had a stinkoman level, but not an other update. Although, the quality of those updates could be debatable. Happy Fireworks, email 130, Bug in mouth desease, and Marzi's anwsering maching #12 all came out on a week with another level as well. All of these are very solid updates.

Not me. I think he's getting used just the right amount. He can be pretty funny, though if he were overused he would be predictable, but I don't think he is. Bubs is pone of my favorite characters, too.

I'm surprised that a lot of people think Stinkoman is over-used. Is it just because he has his own game, or what?

I think Bubs if featured a bit too much. But that's just me.

The only person that is being used to much is SB. It's kind of getting annoying, wanting to see more of Homestar and the rest, but only getting more SB. Even in the puppet stuff, which was once full of Homestar acting crazy is now being filled up with SB... The web site is called Homestarrunner.com so shouldn't H*R be the main sorce of humor?

Yes, Neo and Puphles. Strong Bad's taken over the website and it's not a good thing. We've heard. From several people. Like a million times.

Anyway, I don't think any of those characters above are overused, but I went with Strong Sad, because he hasn't really been himself lately and that's sort of annoying...

Also, I don't think Stinkoman is overused. I mean, there's no pure-20X6 toons on the site. He deserves his own huge game. Not to mention I love 20X6, everything about it.

"Me too" post! SMASH!

Joshua summed up my opinion about Stinkoman perfectly. Why, exactly, do you guys think he is over-used? There is about as much 20X6 (excluding the game) as there is 1936.

Yeah. 20X6 is very underused in my oppinion. I like how they have the game, but some toon would be good too.

I'm saying Stinkoman. They've spent eight weeks updating a game, that, in my opinion, sucks. I think they should have only made five levels.

Why does everybody say that Stinkoman is overused?
Johnathon Howe does most of the work on the Stinkoman game. The Chaps probably only give the transcripts for cutscenes and a concept for a level. If you don't count the game, Stinkoman really hasn't been used much. Only once has the Stinkoman game been the only update that week.

Also, the point of this thread not having Strong Bad on the list is so that people don't all say that Strong Bad is overused and give boring results.

Oh, my vote went to Strong Sad.

Well I don't think anyone besides Strong Bad isn't being used enough so I didn't vote.

Pom-Pom and Marzipan  .

Nah, actually, I think the KOT is getting a little too much air-time lately.

Well, appearing the most is a different question, Homestar appears in many Strong Bad emails,. as well as The Cheat, but they're not being overused.

I don't think 20X6 should be disregarded - there are still potentially good characters that we've yet to see. Like 20X6 Marzipan - she is yet to do more than jump up and down, saying "What's up" or whatever she says on that main page. I'm intrigued by this supposedly evil 20X6 Coach Z too - I want to see him make an appearance. And there's 20X6 The Cheat, KOT, Strong Mad and Sad etc.

I don't find Bubs very funny at all (vote). I want more Strong Mad and Homestar Runner. Perhaps even less Strong Sad.

I don't much enjoy playing Stinkoman 20X6, so I don' like it too much when it's the only Monday update. But I can't have my way every week; some people love Stinkoman 20X6. I do love the bad Japanese translation of the 20X6 world, though.

When was the last animated toon short or email in which Strong Bad didn't appear? It couldn't be the email "anything," could it?

I beleive it's Shopping for Danger, or the Peasants Quest Movei Trailer, if you coutn Stinkoman and ir Strong Bad as Strong Bad.

I gotta say The Cheat here. Sure, him and Strong Bad usually provides some great amusement, but not lately. The Cheat has been appearing too much and not providing the amount of entertainment he should.

Uh... have you seen recent toons and E-mails lately? The 4th Of July toon was The Cheat's first significant appearance in quite a long while, and he hasn't been very prominent since then either.

I still say Stinkoman is overused considering how long his game is, especially compared to others on the site. Granted, he's not as overused as SB, and yes, he was great in Japanese Cartoon and Under Construction, but he's just not THAT interesting as a video game character.

In my opinion homestar should get his own weekly show. It is called homestarrunner.com but it's not like strong bad isn't funny. I think another weekly show would bring balance to the site.

Well, in my opinion, that's what gives the game its greatness. Most of the games are too short, the longest ones being Trogdor and Peasant's Quest. I really like Stinkoman 20X6, and 10 levels is great. It's solid.

I don't really think any character (aside from Strong Bad, but he's not in the poll) is used too much. Sure, Homestar, Bubs, and The Cheat are used a lot these days, but not overused.
