Pom-Pom is being too underused!

He didn't appear at all in "Cool Things", "Sick Day" and "Folky tales"! Mostly now, his appearances have been one second, usually with him not talking. He's the smartest one, he's Homestar's and Strong Bad's good friend... How can they leave him out of the whole site!?

Not even in the e-mail "pom pom" did he appear enough.

I'm sick and tired of waiting for a cartoon that finally stars Pom-Pom as at LEAST one of the main roles!

TBC! We need more Pom-Pom! And not just a lousy :sb: mail, we want a FULL TOON or SHORT about only Pom-Pom.

I don't care if he can't talk like other people, someone, like Strong Bad or Homestar, could answer back explaining at the same time what he said!

Dang it! WE WANT MORE POM POM!!!

... Gah... I'm parched. No, but seriously guys. Who agrees with me?

WhatTheHeckness?

Anyways, he really isn't a very funny character on his own, but it's always cool to see him around as he can kinda change the atmosphere. I always like his interactions with other characters.

And *bubble-bubble* sounds cool. :pom:

Oh boy.. Another "WE WANT THIS!!" thread..
Why don't you let TBC, as providers of a FREE service do whatever they want?

I know... I know...

I just can't believe my favorite character is so underused (heh, corrected the mistake).

But seriously... I'd really want a toon or short about PP... Not.. not me.. You know what I mean.

True. As long as it's good, it doesn't really matter what they do. And even if they don't do a certain thing for a while, it's not because they're evil, cuel, lazy, blah blah. Pom Pom isn't a very funny character so I understand them.

It's just that I hate threads like this.. There was another one that was like "We DEMAND an EMAIL!!".. If I were TBC, I would have to post something like "Or what? You're going to stop watching our FREE internet cartoon, thus saving us a bit of bandwidth?"

Sorry, these type threads just bother me..
If it were said something like "Who thinks there should be more Pom Pom toons?" or something like that, it would seem less demanding, even if you meant it the same way.

I agree with yopu there SR. they keep popping up every weel. But I do have to say that Pom-Pom is underused, but it's TBC's site. They can do whatever they feel like with it.

Pom Pom's underused, sure, but his appearance in "geddup noise" satisfied my taste for Pom Pom for a while, so I don't expect to see him again soon.

Really? Until I watched Geddup Noise again, I didn't even remember that Pom Pom had made an appearance at all. I'm not sure how him just appearing in the background can satisfy anyone's tastes for Pom Pom for awhile, but whatever.

I must say, I'm tired of this topic constantly coming up myself. Yes, Pom Pom is underused, and he's kinda nice to have around to add a different dimension to the H*R world. But I also don't think he's THAT interesting of a character that toons or SBemails suffer from his lack of appearing as a result.

Well, at this point, I'm used to Pom Pom being practically non-existant, so him actually being funny to me satisfies me for a bit.

My thirst for him isn't too high.

:sb: Ug, you people and your demands.... TBC, write a cartoon about pom-pom. TBC, send Trogdor over to my house. TBC, put on a motion capture suit and dance around.

More pompom would be nice. but maybe not. Whatever. It's their site.

I'm not a member of the Pom Pom bandwagon.
I mean, he's not really a pivotal character of the HRverse.
He bobs around and makes a few bubble noises.
He's only really good for those gags where one of the other characters is just talking to him and we can't hear his side of it.

In short, he doesn't need to be in every single toon because, dare I say it, he's just not necessary.

I agree with you guys that Pom x2 is underused. But what of it? He's not that funny of a character and you can't really understand what he's saying. Besides, what in the world could TBC possibly make a toon about with Pom Pom as the main character? I mean, I love Pom Pom and everything, but it wouldn't be that great.

Let's see... The Poopsmith doesn't talk, and The Cheat talks in cheat noises... how many non-real-language-speaking characters can you have in one cartoon and still manage to keep them all interesting? Pom-pom was an important character back in the early days when the characters and relationships were still being set up, but once things started working more or less the way they do now, he drifted into the background. I guess Homestar didn't need a sidekick anymore. That leaves Pom-Pom with not much else to do but pick up ladytypes offscreen.

This sort of thing has happened to lots of other fictional character groups. Remember Shermy and (non-Peppermint) Patty from Peanuts? They were part of the original trio when the strip started, but were dropped completely after a few years because they just didn't fit after the rest of the gang was added.

Not that that has to happen to Pom-Pom, though. TBC will probably at least continue to fit him in where they can, for the sake of keeping him around. Or, at some point in the future, they may get a really great idea about how to use him more prominently, and we might see some great toons with PP as the star. All I'm saying is, let's not get our hopes up.
