Because he doesn't have to do anything. He doesn't have to worry about being hated, or being beaten up by his brothers. He can just sit in bed all day and not worry.

He's sick, dleusional, and is feeling lightheaded. Plus, he may be reverting back to his origial personalit, and his depression is making him happy. Or something like that...

yeah, It's just because of how he likes bad things happening to him. For example, in 2 steps ahead, Strong Sad is happy that he's blind. It just has to do with his depressed personality.

I think it's because he always talks about dying, so making him sick probably makes him happy...

Depressed people usually like having bad things happen to them, because they feel that they deserve them. They also like to feel sorry for themselves, because they don't think anybody else will. At least that's how I was, back when I went through a depressed phase.

 "Augh! I'm blind! My prayers have finally been answered."

His enjoyment over his own misery is nothing new.

It's pretty much the same thing as Strong Sad being happy he "went blind" in "one step ahead".

That is one of the most patently untrue and offensive posts I've ever seen.

How can it be so untrue and offensive when it's based on a personal experience? I suppose it's wrong to say all depressed people were like that, but still.

If it's so offensive, then ask someone to delete it.

I think that what is trying to be said is:

StrongSad is just saying that he feels better (about life, himself, whatever) when he is sick, then during the "normal" days.

I think it could be attributed towards his general mood. He is very mopey, depressed, and so.. I think they are just poking fun at the "lifestyle" he lives.
