I don't see how she could "stop" being his daughter. But they never really do any daddy daughter stuff. Then again, who'd want to do daddy daughter stuff with the KOT? The only family he's interested in is a family sized KFC bucket, or maybe like, some kind of family of... ginger cakes.

I don't get how you can change something like that, though.

Well, it's easy changing something that's just an idea and nothing has came out of it yet.

I don't think she actually "stopped" being his daughter. This idea was only mentioned once in a very old characters page, and never anywhere else, so I treat it like a rumor that was never actually true to begin with. If it were ever talked about amongst the characters during a toon or referenced as fact in some other way, then that would be a different story. But it wasn't.

Def not. TBC have said this idea is totally out. Besides, that would just be kinda creepy anyway...

Nah, they didn't remove that characters page for no reason. If he were still Marzipan's father then The KOT would mention it in the new characters page.

She can easily stop beign his daughter, especially since H*R was in it's beginning stages then.

It's not like this was when HR was a huge thing like it is now. At the time it was small enough that they could change it without worry of people getting in fit.

Actually, this continuity problem was somewhat addressed in the Wonkavision magazine interview. You know we have a Wiki... Right? ;)

WONKAVISION: It's rumored that you're the King of Town's daughter. If so, does that cause any conflict with your politics?

MARZIPAN: Those allegations are completely false. The King was trying to make himself look better by association. That poor man. That poor fat, filthy man.

Definetly not. I believe TBC have denied that on several occasions.

I don't think so. They deleted that characters page, and like some other people said, it wasn't shown anywhere in the toons.

You can't really trust the old character menu. It also says that Coach Z isn't really a coach, but we know for a fact that he is, as seen in A Jorb Well Done.

But, on one of the answering machines,
:kot: is inviting :marzi: to a banquet and says it is at HIS castle, not like the house or something a daughter would know.

She probably moved out. But I still don't think she's his duaghter, TBC even said so themselves.

No. It's called "retcon". Besides, they look nothing like each other.

By that same token, the Brothers Strong look nothing alike either. But I digress...

Regardless of TBC's statement that the concept of Marzipan as the KOT's daughter is null and void, it's not as though it'd be a believable relationship anyway. He ate the candycorn light fixtures outside her house--that somehow doesn't strike me as a "family" activity. Marzi can't even stand to be around him for long periods of time.

A lot of people can't stand to stand around their family for long periods of time. Remeber, "You hate the person you're becoming the most."

Well, that doesn't really mean anything--it could be Marzy being rebellious.

I still don't think they're related, though.

I don't think so. That character page probably isn't even canon.

Yeah, even though I thought the idea that Marzipan as the KOT's daughter was really cool, I go along with TBC ability to say "Well... not so much" when it's still young and in development. I mean, these days, they can't just suddenly cut something, like say Strong Sad isn't SB's brother, but back then they could, especially when the only reference was in an old character page.

But, it would have been neat if she stayed. I can imagine the possibilities... Marzipan would be the Princess of Town (unless it's true that KOT just calls himself that and isn't a King and Marzi would just thing "stupid old man...")..... if Homestar ever married Marzipan, would he have become the new KOT when KOT finally has a lethal heart attack?... would Strong Bad start wooing Marzipan, so as to put himself into a position of power!

I've always thought a SB and Marzi having a bit of a love-hate relationship would work (especially listening to "sensitive to Bees") but that' sneither here nor there.

TBC scratched the idea that Marzipan was the KoT's daughter. The old characters page may still be in the museum, but TBC hoped it wouldn't cause too much confusion. I think they remove the old characers page off the website, or at least change it or put in like, a footnote.

The idea was abandoned. And I think it was a great idea to. it would be a bad idea to have Marzi being the KOT's daughter. It would be so... awkward.

1. The Idea was stupid and never used exept in a deleted page.
2. You don't really see the KOT with Marzipan a lot do you?
