Rejected Characters who should have been

Clearly i'm new here so i hope there's no currently active thread on this.
Tell us all about which characters really deserved another chance, either from the museum or sketchbook or from old incarnations of H*R toons.

I suppose this could include abandoned designs of certain characters.

Personally i wish the Bros Chap would revive Pom-Pom's dog trivia time. I like some of the sketches available and i was watching the old pom-pom flash and thought that trivia time would be nice to see. Second place goes to striped shirt/jailbird/francais Strong Sad from the old sketches just because it makes me smile.

I LOVE that version of Strong Sad! ^_^ It's so cute! I don't think they should get rid of the current design or anything but I'd love it if just once SS showed up in a 'toon wearing a striped shirt and a beret like in those sketches.

Personally, I think it'd be fuuny/cool if Douregard suddenly showed up again. He was pretty amusing, for... a melon... on a stick.

Seriously, that carrot guy could've been something. And Coach Backwards N was pretty neat. Dijjery-Doo, however, probably wouldn't've been very interesting, or even good.

I don't know if any of the rejected characters really deserved to be featured more, because there are very good reaons for all of them not appearing. And personally, I think full appearances of Homeschool Winner or the Unguraits would kinda take away from their mystique on the site. There are probably so many fan interpretations of what Homeschool's like built up in the minds of the fans that the real thing would probably be weird. Much like the Strong Parents.

The only character I wanna see is Trivia Time. An actual animal character might be fun. And also, it would totally justify a fanfic I'm writing tentatively titled 'Dogsitting' XD

As far as the old strong sad goes i imagine regular strong sad running into the dopey stripey sketch during a cartoon with nonsense and awkwardness ensuing.

too bad benedetto bit the dust. now the homestarmy only consists of homestar and strong sad, and the painting of the guy with the knife, right? oh well. i think they would be overwhelmed quite easily

Benedetto's still around, in puppet form anyway. He was in the labor day puppet thing at any rate...

Homsar's in the Homestarmy too, though he doesn't really seem to... do anything... except march... and uh... forget to stop marching

Good question. He showed up in 1936 form, but nowhere else-ish. What does THAT mean?

I think he's more of one of those "ah screw it, need something better" type characters, like the little chef dude.

I remember reading something on the wiki about there possibly being a female Strong called Strong Glad. If they could have made her not just another Marzipan (the sketches kind of looked like Marzipan-esc) that would have been interesting.

I think the site's fine with the characters it's got. Strong Sad has kind of taken over what Homeschool's role would've been, being a big nerd with maybe a creepy edge to him.

In my opinion, bringing back trivia time could be a good idea or a bad idea, depending on it's execution. if it works, Trivia time and the Cheat might have looney-toons-esque cartoons, or a garfield and nermal type relationship, or something. if it's done wrong, he and The Cheat might totally steal the show like Strong Bad has. the real problem with bringing back any rejected character is that they're going to need a non-hokey introduction. or, possibly, a send-up of hokey introductions to casts. personally, I think it's fine the way it is.

The Ungriants (or however you spell it) would be interesting. Maybe the new evil person in the house (Strong Bad is more of an anti-hero now).

You know... I'm actually happy with the cast of characters they have now. It just wouldn't be the same with Unguraits running around, or with more than one girl... Know what I mean?

no doubt homeschool, for a rejected charecter, hes pretty dang popular and hass been seen and/ or mentioned in a few episodes/ games...or...game

1. dancing bubs
2. old charecters cards
3. metioned in sample of style "great now were gonna have to kill off bubs, just like homeschool winner"
4. why come only one girl, metioned and shown

if he ever appears I think he would take the roll of like homestars little brother, or cousin

Trivia Time, Homeschool, both should be real. Dijjery-Doo as TT's Stone Age counterpart. Champeen, she should appear, but instantly be killed off like Original Bubs. Hmm... Ori Bubs should come back. Or, at least Onion Bubs. Or one of the other 11 KOTs.
