Are surnames and forenames switched around in Free Country USA?

STRONG Mad
STRONG Bad
STRONG Sad

And Homestar Runner seems to be able to change the 'Runner' part of his name to whatever fits his name, e.g. Homestar Breadmaker.

...Or maybe it's just an Internet cartoon?

I have a strange feeling that this has probably been done before...

What if he put a hyphen in between Homestar and Runner?

Well, in midevial times, when the modern Western concept of a surname was born, your surname was based on your position... so maybe he's changing his surname like that? I dunno.

I think it's sad that the only culture many people know for putting surnames first is one made up for a sci-fi show.

You made an erroneous assumption in saying that the only culture I know of is a sci-fi one. Just because I used Bajorans as an example does not mean that's the ONLY thing I could think of. I said Bajoran because I thought that comparing the Strong family to another sci-fi series would be amusing. I think its sad that you make sweeping generalizations based on a minute piece of information.

I think it's sad that you're trying to bring up new facts to turn my insult against me! Thus I will continue to assume that you had only heard of Bajorans and that you are sad

Various credit card companies, etc. have referred to Strong Bad as Mr. Bad. Of course, perhaps they are similar to their real-life counterparts and often get things wrong.

Homestar's full name is Homestar Micheal Runner, used by marzipan after he drew cool ducks and bugs all over her halloween potion recipe.

The brothers strong... it's possible that their surnames have never actually been revealed (much like Marzipan, Bubs, Coach Z etc.). It could be like... Strong Bad (insert surname).

But in one of the DVD commentries, Marzipan says that his middle name is Hal... then again, Marzipan says a lot of things in the DVD commentries...
