Post subject:  Before you became a fan...
...what did you call all the characters? Like, before you learned their names? Here's mine:

Homestar: Olympics Mascot Guy
Strong Bad: Strong Bad, I knew his name from the start.
Strong Mad: Square Guy
Strong Sad: Ghost Man (his head is kind of ghost-lookin')
The Cheat: The Cheese (I misunderstood Strong Bad's pronunciation)
Bubs: Blue Face Guy.
Coach Z: Green Guy.
Marzipan: Earthworm Jim Female
Pom Pom: Big Orange Guy
King of Town: That King Guy
The Poopsmith: That Guy Who Shovels Crap
Homsar: Olympic Mascot Guy II

I watched all the character videos as soon as I got to the site, so I didn't have any trouble with that kind of stuff.

I never really got anyone's names confused, but it took me a while to figure out that Homsar had a character video (and I somehow missed the fact that he has his name WRITTEN RIGHT ON HIM because I'm stupid) so I just thought of him as "that fat Homestar guy".

...I think I may have thought The Cheat was The Cheese for a couple seconds, too. XD;

Basically, if it wasn't Strong Bad or Homestar, it was "um... you know, that guy who..."

I was pretty much a fan on first sight, but it took me a bit to get everyone straight, especially Bubs and Coach Z.

I got Strong Mad and Strong Bad mixed up for like a day... other than that, I don't think I had any problems. Oh, well, maybe I got Coach Z and Bubs mixed up, but that's probably it.

I got the names very quickly, all I had problems with was remembering which one was The Sneak and The Cheat. Now there's no problems at all.

when I was first introduced to HR my first reaction was how similar Strong Bad looked to Brak from Space Ghost coast to coast.

So Strong Bad was "looks-like-brak" and Homestar was "sounds-like-brak"

Everyone else I found rather...odd.

I figured out who they al lwere pretty quick, but when my friend told me about the site, he said it was about a polar-bear guy and a Mexican wrestler who says crap a lot, and sometimes it had these stick figure girls. I was confused.

I only remember calling The Cheat "that little guy no one understands", calling the KOT "the mayor of the place" (what my sister referred to him as), and wondering if Homsar was an alter ego of Homestar. Since she showed me the Character Videos the same day as "Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon", those names weren't used for a very long time.

The very first thing I saw (that was Homestar Runner related) were those SBCG4AP trailers on the Nintendo Channel, so I only knew the names of Strong Bad & Homestar. Here's what I called everybody else:
    :sm: -big guy with pizza
    :sad: -fat guy
    :cheat: -The Cheese (misread the name)
    :bubs: -sales person guy
    :coachz: -lame character
    :marzi: -hippy girl
    :pom: -bubble guy
    :kot: -king man
    :poop: -white face guy
    :homsar: -WTPF?!?!
