Well, if you need help reducing the size of your avy, go here. They can fix that up for you. As for changing the rules, it ain't going to happen. If it hasn't been changed by now, it probably will never be changed.

The reason is they don't want people taking up half the screen with their one avatar. This way, there is a limit, so people don't do that.

I think the avatar restrictions are just fine. Signature restrictions, however...*trails off*

heh, if only the sig restrictions were like sixty-eight k. I can't tell you how many times I've spent a good chunk of time making something grand, looking at my compy promise me that the filesize is 64.37k, and then at upload time, having it tell me that its really 68k now. Grah!

For real, I'm fine with the 100x100 and 500x100 sizes, but it'd be nice if there was a sort of plus or minus 5k, or even 3k clause t the end of the rules, but have 65 be the number to shoot for. You know, a bit of leeway for when the computer decides to be a pain.

I'll let you in on a little secret if you promise not to tell anyone: the real sig limit is 55kb, with a generous 10kb of leeway. (In other words, if we wanted the sig limit to be 65kb-plus-five-more-if-you-really-need-it, we'd just make the sig limit 70k.)

Ah, cool. Well, that gives me a nicer number to shoot for in the long run. Actually, I haven't made that many that run over 65, except that ridiculously huge sig that Teff had a while ago. Fun times, though.

I thought that was alberto...

Anyway, it's easier if you ask somone in the B&A Force to lower the KB size for you than to try and tangle with the mods on the issue. They wouldn't budge for that rampage of Homestarrules people. ;)

Eh, it was a fun challange. Teff, I dunno if you know this, but the first time through that puppy was well over 300k. :p
