Well, they are Our team names. While we certainly appreciate your input as to what they should be, ultimately we're the ones who have to take those names. So if we decide that we'd prefer not to be called Team Batman and Team Jesus, that's ultimately our decision to make. I mean, how would you like it if we started issuing usernames instead of letting you pick them for yourself?

Yes they have. Ed, Ju, Ian, and Ram have all expressed dislike for it. And whether you see it as disrespectful or not, it has already been explained that the potential for some to see it as such is there.

Rusty, Ian and Ed have already explained it: they don't like the idea of equating the Son of God, the Savior of the World, with a comic book hero. And, once again, I would like to point out that, since they are our names, this line of argument isn't really helpful productive. So can we please stop trying to make an issue of it?

the reason why I;'m not too fond of Team Jesus is because eventually, someone's going to be offended by it, then they'll complain, others will react to that, and there's be a case of drama on tap.

Exactly. I actually like the names, but we can't have something that may offend someone as the names of official groups here. It'd shed bad light on the forum, perhaps even the wiki as well. We just want to play it safe as to nto cause any future trouble.

I've got no problems with Team Batman and Team Jesus, honestly. I think the names are pretty cool. But I'm not the highest authority here, so I pretty much can't do anything if an admin doesn't want it.

I still like the idea of putting it on [s]my[/s] [s]Teff's[/s] [s]my[/s] Teff's birthday, though.

Besides, vocalness doesn't matter. The reason that we don't get Jesusman is because it's potentially offensive (and as Ed said, it's not good to have two teams be the same)
