we don't need gender indicators. confusion is fun. remember when I called Cybernetic Teenybopper a guy? i wouldn't bring that up if i wanted it to be forgotten forever.

Meh, we don't really need gender indicators.

You can be both. Some of the best pastors were also stalkers.

Vlad is totally a guy's name, so it's your fault.

I'd have to agree. You might as well be named Hulk Hogan the man with a set of male genitals.

I really don't see the point in adding these, but we have indeed gotten lulz out of the conversation.

Well, why not give everyone the sam respect, it doesn't necessarily mean you're being stalked if you're a girl, ...unless I can't trust all of you to not be stalkers.

But I suppose it wouldn't really do anything for as always, there has been the age old method of lying about yourself.

I can't give the Sam Respect to people because they don't respect Sam.

Oh God, the Internet Idiocy has gotten Noid too!

But, I think it's better without the gender indicators. Like many people have said, it brings hilarity.

The only time this has ever been a problem for me is I first mistook Shwoo to be a guy. But other than that, I don't think there's a huge need for it.

I think it'd be handy. Certainly, it shouldn't be mandatory, but it's nice to have for people whose gender is contrary to the obvious. And on the 'net, the natural tendency is to assume people are guys (unless there's a feminine avatar or name... and even that isn't reliable), because it's still male-dominated and will be right more often than wrong...

Me, I've gotten a tendency to refer to other people on the 'net in the third-person, sometimes even when I'm relatively but not completely sure of their gender. And occasionally even when I'm completely sure. Though sometimes I do still slip and say things like "I think he was joking", and whoops, it's a girl...

It'd be nice not to have to do that, though.

- Kef

Yeah, most people don't know it, but I'm not a dude. with gender indicators, people would realize this without me having to state it awkwardly in the gender indicator thread.

Yeah, that's the only problem, it might end up like the fake locations, and everyone will lie.
