I just checked the memberlist and realized we have over 700 members who have never posted anything. Many of those joined over a year ago. The memberlist doesn't show when you were last logged in, but I'm pretty sure many haven't been here for quite some time.

Do you mods ever delete passive members?

No, they just leave them there to keep all historical information accurate. Users don't take up a lot of space on the server, and deleting all 700 would only reduce the space taken by about 20 percent. Plus, there'd be the risk of deleting an account that would've been used anyways.

It's really not worth our time to delete all inactive members unless we have reasonable certainty that they were created just to increase their site ratings (that is, registered by spambots). A couple months ago, we deleted quite a few (hundreds?) that were created by spambots.

Yeah, the zero posts users with iffy websites were all deleted, including the really old ones. Took me quite a while to search through all of them.
