I dunno, I personally dislike fanstuff just because it's primarly bad slash and flash done by two year olds. The wiki I like, it's always nice to be able to read transcripts of h*r cartoons, or see pop culture references you may have missed. I just dislike the people who contribute there.

I thought this thread was about new beginnings. For some reason, however, so many people are still dwelling on the past (Didy, STupendous, Sree, etc, I'm talking to all of you people).

I would take what everyone has said in this thread and use it as the basis for what you think of them, because everyone's being civil and pleasant. There's no reason to disregard someone's request because of what they have done in the past, and if you do that, then you're just disrupting everything because of...what's the saying? Old...something. Things that have happened in the past. But right now, we're all working together, so why not listen to each other with equality?

This isn't really the place to discuss it, but just like you guys hated when we used to generalize all WFWFers as jerks, you're doing pretty much the same thing to the KB and Fanstuff. Sure, a lot of the stuff on the fanstuff sucks, I'll give you that, but it's not all bad, and a lot of the people there are great. And some people on the KB are jerks, but not everyone there is a bad guy.

Again, though, this isn't really the place to debate that.

I've heard the stories about the IRC, but how long ago was that? And what exactly were they complaining about? More importantly, has there been any RECENT contact to support these ill feelings everyone is talking about? For one thing, when was the last time any of us used the IRC?

My point is, this all seems to involve something that happened on IRC who knows how long ago. And yet, there is hostility as a result, and perceived hostility. There might be very little to it now.

Rusty: some of this "past" you're referring to is recent. VERY recent. Like, within the past 48 hours or so. And some of this "past" shows distinct trends in attitudes and behaviors that have been occurring for a long time. I don't think that such things can be so easily overlooked.

Alright, I'm nowhere near treating this forum as my social llife, but you know what? This forum has been one of the most, if not the most, influential thing in my life. This was my gateway drug to the internet. When I came here, I was a wreck. A recovering Star Wars/Teen Titans obsessive nerd, you guys welcomed me lovingly and showed me that everything I had been using my internet privileges for was completely and utterly retarded. You people saved me from myself. If it hadn't been for you guys, I wouldn't be the person I am today. And I want all of you to know that. I love you guys, I never want this forum to die. It is the single most important thing in my life. I know, I sound like a loser, but it's true. I'm not sure how you expect us to feel when you post things like "run for the hills!" just because I'm reading a thread. Distrust just begets more distrust, and if it's all based on nothing (read your post again and note just how much speculation and hearsay there is), then there's no point to it. I uh agree. If not for this place I would be stupid loser who sat with the really smelly kids at lunch. Not only would I have not found tons of cool stuff (KOL, Wikipedia, etc. etc.), you guys are really cool people.

I belive he was just commenting on the fact that he's banned for offenses that wouldn't warrant a ban with the new system.
