Dids, COLA, knock it off.

I don't like the foes list, but it can be useful in times of another spam attack. If not Goatse, then some other thing.

Anyway, toastpaint.

I didn't find it bad, I laughed.

And my point of view: Just don't use it if you don't want to. If some people want to use it, let them. It's just easier to keep it and not use it if you don't want to.

Okay, you can choose to view blocked posts. That's fine.

Still a pretty gay ide-

Goatse's gross and should never be here, but you also gotta understand where Dids is coming from. You realize what a huge TV/monitor like he has does to a picture like that? It'd be practically life-size. And he'd be able to give an accurate colon cancer diagnosis without a license. NOT fun.

My only question about the foes list: can people put mods and admins on it? If so, that might be a problem. If the question's already been answered, srry. Otherwise, it seems like a good idea for various reasons I don't feel like taking the time to type.

You can't block mods or admins, and vice versa.

I gotta tell ya, I really think the idea of a "foe" list goes against the "touchy feely" hippie attitude I like to keep around here. On the other hand, there have been plenty of users that I wish would go away (mad or otherwise), so the ability to ignore them would have been fantastic.

Maybe renaming it would be nice, though. Foe just sounds unfriendly.

Hows about "Happy Sunshine Person you care less about than those other people" list?

I saw Goatse for the first time and I was disappointed. I wanted my money back.

"Ignore List" or "Iggy" would be cool...

That way, you could say "Welcome to Iggyland" or something like that.

Personally, I don't care about the Foes list. I will probably never use it, and I don't really see why anybody would use it except out of spite against another user. If a troll does come along, the admins/mods will probably deal with it fast enough so that the foes list won't need to be used.

Reminds me of Iggy Pop.

Eh, that's not completely true. It can take a little while sometimes for an admin to come on, and the mods can only do so much.

True, but usually admins come on often enough to do something about the troll before the foes list is really needed (At least that's what I think...).

Not only that, but I do know of cases in which certain users were harassing other users via PM. The Foe List will certainly cut down on that.

Deleting and banning the harassing users would do that, too.

That'll work, too. But I think this adds just one more layer of deterrent. If someone knew that the person they were harassing was never going to get their PM's, they might decide not to bother. It'd be risking a ban without even the sure satisfaction of annoying their target.

Remove both lists.

If not, remove the friends list.

The Friends List makes it easy to keep track of people I like to PM on occasion. Even if it's a feature not many people use, it does come in handy.

KEEP BOTH LISTS.

If you don't want to use it don't use it. Unless it starts causing rampant DRAMA, keep the foes list engaged.

I assume this was made because Rusty felt "Hurt" when I made that certain thread.

I would assume Rusty would be one of the last people to complain about, seeing as he posesses so much negativity towards other users, wanting them just to shut up.

But why is anyone hurt? I mean, what is the big deal if posts are ignored?

"Oh no, someone is not listening to the points I want to make, whatever shall I do!?!?"

Why is this such a big problem? I say, if a person puts you down on their list, who cares? Just put them down on your list and forget they exist, if they bother you then that's that simply ignore anything they say because you know it will only make you feel worse about yourself if you listen to their harassment of you, if it interrupts a conversation, then just display the post.

I honestly don't understand, maybe if it was more offensive towards other people I would, but if someone ignores your posts, is it really the end of the world?

Hear hear.

Mods, Admins, I think the matter's been decided. Time for a lock.

^ Once again, good point. The matter's done with.

^ This was unnecessary. Rusty knows about his behavior, and so do the mods. We're dealing with it, chill.
