I have recently noticed that there is a need to post threads simply for purposes that not all us understand, confusing posts most of the time that give no care to explain itself or serve a definite purpose.

These types of threads I have seen have been marked 'Spam'.

In this other forum I go to, they like to be somewhat more lenient, just really have a place for spam to be posted when people feel those urges.

They call that particular forum section, 'Can 'O Spam'.

I propose that we make this kinda section for those who have urges to post spammish threads, from the tiniest inside joke to the largest one, I just feel this could be a place to just kick-back.
Could help the spamming rates in other discussions.

Random Thoughts is usually where most spam goes.

I'm pretty sure that there's no need for any other forum sections for the time being. Spamming also doesn't seem to be on the rise as of late; the Forum has always had its quick jolts of spam.

As Noid said, Random Thoughts is the place for any random, and sometimes spammy, posts. Spam is generally frowned upon regardless of the situation though, but it can sometimes be allowed in the proper situation (i.e. the Act Like A N00b thread).

I think many would feel that the spontaneity you're talking about, Clapper, would have its amusement greatly diminished if there were a specific place for it. Spontaneity is good because, by definition, it's spontaneous. When you take that away, it ruins it. I just don't think it would work.

If you dig a hole at a campsite in a rainstorm you still get wet, but now you have a big hole with muddy water in it. Since we're already wearing raincoats and a great drainage system, I don't think we need to do this.
