It's not really the spam that bothers me as much as the fact that there are almost no original threads anymore. People seem to think RT is their personal blog and outlet for everything they think of, and that needs to stop. If that means locking RT for a while, I'm okay with that.

Because if you mean Serious Inc I'm pretty sure me and ramrod are the same people who run things.

That wouldn't really fit for what anyone here really wants, I don't think. It's mostly his IRL friends and they mostly discuss their real lives.

Once we see this, it will be returned to it's normal place. If anyone feels the need to recreate Random Thoughts during this time. It will be locked."

... You know, I can get behind a lot of decisions you mods make, but this one just downright doesn't help/solve anything.

Okay, this is a good idea for an experiment, but just remember that not every post in that thread was able to have a subject made for it. Besides, it's a message board: while we don't need a whole topic, let alone a whole proposed section for spammy posts, they should be able to slide. The whole "Gentleman" thing was sort of like the Star Fox fad in Random Thoughts back in April, albeit kinda more silly and annoying than reciting Star Fox quotes for four pages.

I can't think of one person who posts exclusively to RT, though.

Frankly, putting it in Games or somewhere that it doesn't get post count is a great idea, though.
